Since the 80-90's the presence of Superstars in the NBA has dwindled through the years...

"Slim pickins"? Eight different guys have scored 50 points in game already. That ties the single season record and we aren't even at the all-star break. One guy dropped 60 in 29 minutes and he wasn't even mentioned above as a top 5 player in the league. Plenty of great players right now.

There is a difference between great players and very good players.

A better way of breaking them into categories is Superstars & Stars.

There's a big difference between the 2.

Superstars are the few, the elite.

Stars are very good.

Superstars are guys like Jordan, Shaq, Hakeem, Magic, Kobe, Duncan, and others.

All time greats.

Stars are players like Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard.

Only 2 proven Superstars left before Westbrook & Curry decided to join the argument was LeBron & Durant.

Anthony Davis is probably there but I wouldn't dare mention him in the same company as Shaq, David Robinson, and Hakeem.

He really has no competition at the position.

Some could argue James Harden is a superstar.

I'm not so sure.

Easy to score in this league these days.

When one of these clowns drop 50 in the playoffs call me. Regular season games are not much different than the trotters vs the generals. Back in the days if you got close to 30 you were going receive some hard fouls. So yeah, it's a different game today.
