There is a useful option at most banks called overdraft protection where if you mistakenly bounce a check it automatically comes out of your savings. Of course that implies that you have a savings account for a rainy day or an emergency. Most normal people have learned this basic economic principle. I myself make sure there are sufficient funds to cover any check I right. I also bank where I get free withdraws when I use their ATM. In addition I have a 10K personal line of credit in case of a catastrophic emergency. People who bounce checks deserve to pay the price. If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.
