I think everybody makes some good points but if anything I'd say TCU covers... I just feel like too many people will be on this game and I see value in betting TCU... OU is hyped up like no other... Sportscenter... ESPN... fantasysports.. everything has them hyped up. I think OU is a great team but it just seems like too many people are feeding off public perception... For me this is a small play on TCU or a no play... For those who are on OU... I'm only saying this cause I don't want tons of people losing money here... For me this line looks too good to be true... OU's been all over the media as one of the best teams and in those situations I think it's a trap... Play or fade good luck to all as for me TCU + whatever I can get...
Could you please tell me the 10 games that are better to bet on than this one.
Prodigy..I think you hit it right..The public tends to look at one side without looking at the less glamourous other side..I think the number one mistake that people make is if they see a team run away and hide from two teams on national television, it's going to keep happening over and over again every week. And I admit it can be hard to get that picture out of your mind. But every team presents a whole different set of problems. The first impressions I got from TCU was OU is playing an overrated offensive team, and a very underrated defensive team. This is probably the best defense that OU will face all year. But their offense isn't that great..They had trouble in the red zone the other night against SMU..This is SMU I'm talking about. So what do you do here? I think the line is set at a very hard number at 17. If I had to guess what will happen in this game, my first impression is, I would say OU comes into this game possibly a little flat after a bye week off after reading their own headlines about how good they are for the last 2 weeks..Bradford goes back to pass and realizes he don't have quite as much time in the pocket that he's had the last couple of games. The OU offense is a little out of sync. Points are harder to come by. There are more 3 and outs. Which is why TCU isn't getting tired in the 3rd quarter like Cincy and Washington did. TCU hangs around, but they aren't posing a big offensive threat to OU. But the Sooners can't seem to pull away. And the game ends up a couple TD win for OU. And then the Sooners are back to square one the next week with everybody saying they're vulnerable to a good defense (who isn't) and don't deserved to be rated this high....Then again things could snowball on TCU and OU could run away with it. Take your pick...It's still a very hard line. If I do anything here it will probably depend on what the public does. If they feel OU is the best thing since sliced turkey and bet this thing up to around 19 or 20, I would have to consider TCU in this spot. If it stays where it's at then I would probably leave it alone (although TCU is a very inticing dog to me). I will also be looking at the totals here.. Anything in the 50+ area and I will have to consider taking the under.theres no doubt that oklahoma is very good.
... but if youre looking for a fundamentally solid underdog, its hard not to acknowledge what tcu brings to the table.
ability to run the football? check.
ability to stop the run? check.
well coached? check.
history of performing well against power conference teams? check.
solid special teams? check.
maybe the sooners end up running away with this one. its possible. but to think okie is just going to line up and maul tcu is just silly.

I cant express my sorrow for you sorry tcu believers. I strongly urge you to reconsider your viewpoint and stop acting like this tcu team is the next coming. YES gary patterson is an above average coach. YES their defense is relatively good but will not be able to stop Sir Bradford. YES tcu beat a hapless ou team a few years ago in norman because ou didnt have a qb. and YES the whole ou coaching staff knows they have to pummel tcu not only to assert their #2 ranking, but also to give tcu a proper burial.:toast:
5-0 SAT,
I think I'll put my money on OU's little brother up the highway in Stillwater, lay the 17 over Troy State, and cause my man some misfortune.
That's a glorious play as well my friend. OU and OSU will both win comfortably, let's bang the book this weekend, the last weekend of Non-Conference play for some real $$$$$.
:spanker:
Troy State may win SU again. Line should be no more than -13. OK State may cover it, but I'm going with the dog and the bad number.
