Yes, I've sold them two vehicles but they were older cars with lots of miles. It works well if you don't want to deal with selling it privately on Craigslist or whatever, you can get a bit more that way.

At the very least I recommend taking it to them and getting their offer, takes like an hour and gives you a baseline price to work from if you decide to sell it privately, it's great to know you can always get that amount for it, offer is good for 30 days I believe. I sold them a Honda Accord with 250k miles and a failing transmission for $2,000
Works for me

It's a vehicle too old for them to put on their lot for resale they sell only cars that are like 1-2 years old with low miles . You can't negotiate with them the price is the price and their offer to buy is final but can be completed with check in hand in little more than an hour. They are just going to be acting as a middleman and moving older cars onto some wholesaler or something and of course making a profit in the process, but they might have connections we don't have. I wouldn't buy a car from them, prices too high, but a great place to look and test drive a variety of brands.

I'm sure you have a figure in mind for what you reasonably would accept for the car, no reason to not start with their offer, you have like 30 days to accept it

Go there for an hour, let them take your car out and they will give u a price on what they will buy your car for. Offer is good for 7 days.

Then go to dealership where u purchase your new car. See what they give u for trade in. If dealership offers u less what car max offers u, then show them your car max offer. Dealer will most likely match it and u can use that amount as your down payment

I sold them a vehicle that they were willing to give me about 1K more than the dealer. Worked out well. Was about 15 years ago though. GL.

Everybody so far seems in agreement that it is an option that it is quick and fair and at least a starting point

Knight says 7 days, I recall it being 30, could have changed doesn't matter you get an offer in hand and paperwork and some time to consider it

You can get more if you CL it, but that involves dealing some weird people and making appointments with them and they may never show up etc . It is likely better than a trade in initial offer, it works as long as you know what to expect.

You can definitely beat their pricing when buying.
They are fair and legitimate.

I googled them, a few interesting facts about them. Company started in 1993 and related to Circuit City, now 208 stores all over the USA
Their stock was $4 in 1998, now $61 !
Of course they hablo Espanol, in fact they kind of specialize in financing low credit customers.
I'll bet their reputation checks out just fine.
I can't argue with success of those proportions, they do what they do and do it well

sold two vehicles through them and used them twice more to get
dealer to increase our trade in amount. fast and efficient, but
bad place to buy from as prices are on the high end.

You may be right with 30....I had an experience ages ago where it was 7. At least according to the car dealership where the salesman was a friend of mine, it was 7
