Only a 49-3 blowout loss to the best team in the country separates Oregon from being in the CFP conversation. Since that season debut defeat to Georgia, the Ducks have been nothing short of mighty by winning six straight and covering five of those contests.
After a stunning 20-13 overtime loss as 15 ½ point road favorites to Colorado, the Golden Bears rebounded nicely last week with a 28-21 upset over Washington as 7 ½ point home pups. California is now 3-4 straight up and 4-3 against the spread.
I don’t see California stopping the Oregon passing attack as we have the Ducks averaging nearly 273 passing yards per game against California’s 116th-ranked passing defense. And it’s not like the Bears can trade touchdown for touchdown as their offense averages just a tad over 23 points per game, ranking them a dismal 101st in that category.
