If I were Russ and there is a contract as he is saying then I wouldn't refund you guys a cent. You signed it and you knew what you were getting into so suck it up and move on instead of coming in here bitching like a 5 year old.

Logically, he shouldn't give you guys back anything because of the contract.

I thought MW was out of Canada. If he is then I am sure the court system is just as strong as in the U.S. However, I don't think it would be a good idea to go to court cause you will lose.

Bhb, you showed a lot of class pulling your advertising without getting a refund. I am so impressed that i am posting up with you guys today. Very few books or people out there would value honorability over money. Go BHB! Also, I love your contests and give aways. You guys are one of the most generous books in the business.

truthteller, and what is your problem? BHB made it clear that this is not a legal debate and that the money has nothing to do with their decision to pull out. They've fully expressed their intent to "move on" regardless of the refund and you're clinging to a dead issue here.

What's YOUR agenda, if any?

Truthteller should change his name to lying Russ Shill. Nepenthe is right, you obviously do have a hidden agenda. How could you side with russ when a credible sportsbook like BHB wants to get out? Contracts, give me a break. Russ wouldn't honor a contract if his life depended on it. He has burned more people than the Vancouver stock exchange in the 80's.

Truthteller, i respect your opinion. but again you are missing the point.

I am not taking Russ to court if he doesnt pay BHB. For one, say there was a contract. And it said we could get a refund. Guess what. No book is gonna go to the US or to Canada and enter the court sytem over 10k. Think about it for a second.

For two, I am not whinning over the $$$. The point is that even if there is a contract(which they can feel free to post here). We all know that the right thing to do is to give back the money. period.

for three, if we cant get the money back, then we could keep our banners and links up ALL YEAR LONG......

and this brings me to the MESSAGE WE ARE SENDING OUT TO EVERYONE.

BHB WOULD RATHER LOSE 10K THAN BE ON THE MAJORS SITE.

hope you understand.

gotbookie,

why don't you scan the contract and let the world see the refund clause -- it would make your case stronger.

We dont care about the refund. Regardless of what a contract says, in a situation like this they have the upper hand.

We just wanted off of his site.

Their is not "case" against him. BHB is just making a point that we would rather lose 10k, AND a 9.5 months of exposure on his site, than continue doing business with someone like him.

Heres a question though - do you think the contract would state that a book CANT cancel service and get a refund?

Question since I am not the marketing guru or site owner.

Why would BHB still be up there if they do not want to be?

Thanks

This is kind of funny. Book wants down but site says "no-way".

Major is kind of between a rock and a hard spot. Ken's behind the scenes full-court lobbying effort looks like it is causing some concern.

Bottom line is if Rio falters the Rx will be blamed, and should be. But if there are no problems then the Rx's semi-coordinated lobbying effort is going to hurt MW ad revenues for a good while to come.
