You are merging two different things together.
One deals with the legality of moving files from one server to another (aka 'archiving' shit...NOT deleting)
And the other has to do with complying with subpoenas.
Sheesh....
That's because they have separated the two, when indeed they are not mutually exclusive from one another. The path and saving of data is very clear, which they did (supposedly).
But you cannot turn around and use a straw man to say the reason they did not comply to the request was because they didn't "ask" for the transferred data. They knew exactly what the request was for and chose to ignore it.
Either way, they knowingly broke the law...republican or dem they need to be punished. Our political powers have gotten quite big for their britches as they know they are above the law.....started way back in 2016 when Hillary said fuck this subpoena and deleted who knows how many emails that were also under subpoena.
Still walking around a free woman today. Maddening. Try that move if you ever get in trouble with the feds. You get 10 years, instantly.
The things we are witnessing today with our political and corporate elite are exactly the reasons we have a celebration of 1776.
The problem conservatives have is you lefties are advocating for more government power...and it makes NO fucking sense why you and your loons don't understand the end game of this all when you do that.
We'd rather you just say thank you and leave us the fk alone.
