The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a huge scare last week against the Browns while the Detroit Lions are coming off another loss, all be it an Over Time one to Green Bay. The difference is that Cincinnati can play much better than they did last week and the Lions have reached their plateau as just a bad team.
Yes the Bengals did not play well at home last week but they are heading back on the road where they only lost once all year and are undefeated ATS. The Bengals are also fighting for a first round bye with Denver so they have a lot to play for while Detroit will just be playing for pride which doesn’t seem to be enough for them lately. The Bengals will not abandon their run game however with Rudi Johnson coming off a great game with 169 yards going against Detroit’s 26th ranked rushing defense.
Cincinnati has won by an average of over 10 points in their road wins and they will beat the Lions by more than 10 points as well. The Bengals will run away with this one while the Lions will continue running to find a new coach for next year.
