Congrats USA bettors. I lost that one. Stupid bet in retrospect. Then got a bit heavier on LTU than I wanted to but I'm ahead for the day so far. Now Puerto Rico +6 but a small one.
Got to think better than even money now we'll have USA vs LTU for the Gold at about USA -2 or 2 1/2. Of course long way off and anything can happen. The hoops has really been the extent of the Olympics for me and I've enjoyed the hell out of it. Been a nice fix which will have to last a few months.

After I capped the Spain game out, I sat out completely. They got the benefit from the officials every game. Other team's top players always fouled out, sometimes top three players. And yet, they had one guy foul out once. Pretty ironic that Spain's coach cried about the timeout and officiating after game. Here are some samples. In game vs. Italy, Spain 33 ft's Italy 3. Yes 30 more attempts. Argentina 17 Spain 38. Serbs 14, Spain 37. Little disparity there. Plus they did not defend the 3 well, and had inconsistent 3 shooting, both needed to beat the US. This Spain squad was undefeated, but by no means dominant. And the US is playing better. I still think there will be a couple more chances against US. But with a team that can exploit the US. Spain was just too similar, and the refs called this game within a couple of ft's, but most of them were foul and shoot trey's at end. Good luck on the rest...OF
