Ole Miss defeated LSU last season, 31-17, and brought home the cash for all those who backed the Rebels as 9-point home chalk. This season they will pack their bags and head to Tiger Stadium as the No. 7 team in the nation. Ole Miss is 7-0 and has national title hopes for the first time in a long time while LSU is hoping to score a big win and advance their record to 6-2 on the season.
The oddsmakers seem to sense LSU is up to the task, installing the Tigers as 2 ½ point home favorites over the much-ballyhooed Ole Miss squad. But if I can get the Rebels at that number then I won’t overthink it, I’ll just bet it.
I believe this Old Miss iteration to be the real deal and their third-ranked rushing offense, averaging over 271 yards per game, should be able to punish LSU’s 69th-ranked run-stop unit. Lay it and like it with the Rebs.
