Decided to start this thread now as there are a few plays that I like on the daytime games tomorrow and I expect the lines to move. I will be back with additional plays tomorrow. As I write this, I don't know the results of my play on San Antonio tonight, so the record posted will not reflect the outcome of that game yet. Once final, I will edit this thread.

Well, coming off a 1-0 day yesterday as San Antonio indeed won last night. Thus, I will edit to update my record. Sorry for the delay as I've been unable to access the forum until now. I will add the remainder of my plays, one which is currently underway.

1* Michigan State -4
1* Wake Forest -4.5
1* North Carolina State -3
1* Indiana -4
1* Arizona +5.5
1* Texas Tech +7
1* Georgia +6.5

Overall Unit Record YTD: (93-72.7) 56.13% 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(8-4)(+10.8) 1*(64-54-2)(+4.5)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (73-58-2) 55.73%
NCAAB Record YTD: (30-34-1)(-7.6)
NBA Record YTD: (8-4)(+5.6)
NCAAF Record YTD: (21-8)(+22.0) (Final Bowl Game Record 19-8 Included)
NFL Record YTD: (14-12-1)(+0.3)

Plays are rated 1*-5*

Good Luck All.

First edit added North Carolina State and Indiana
Second edit added text to thread, updated record and added plays on Arizona, Texas Tech, and Georgia

Guys:

Sorry for the late addition. I have been unable to access the forums until now. I normally use Internet Explorer but it doesn't seem to work today so I downloaded Netscape Navigator and got right in. I just updated my original thread to reflect additional plays plus my current record reflecting yesterday's play on San Antonio.

Good Luck All.

good luck today ted, the home teams usually win all sec games on saturday, conference games that is, dont know about ATS but SU they seem to win. i remember LSu beat bama at bama and ga beat kent at rupp but thats about it for the last 3 saturdays.. im not really into posting these days ted as ive tried to take a more business like approach to this lately.. I just made my monthly withdraw for feb yesterday, so my new month started over today..

I sat down and wrote out 1-120 on a sheet of paper, for the number of plays that ill make between now and mar 7th.. My goal is 120 plays per month, going 70-50 (58%) at $200 per game, for a total profit of $3000 (at -1.10 vig).

Good luck today. hope the home team aub doesnt get ya.

Thanks for the well wishes. Tough getting into the forum sites today. Perhaps you ran into the problem. Seemed to start sometime late last night. Enjoyed the San Antonio game last night. As for today, a bit more comfortable with the early plays then the late plays. I'd be satisfied with 4-3.

Excellent discipline on your part. Post when you feel it's right to do so. Although I don't establish a monthly goal, I think that is an excellent approach by breaking the year into twelve segments. Keeps you focused and, with good records, lets you know how you are doing. I withdraw when my accounts get too large and I want to reduce my exposure. I reduce in January prior to the Superbowl each year because with football completed, I'll only be investing in basketball and my plays tend to be more 1* plays. Only a few 3* plays and maybe a rare 5*, so I don't need as much of the bankroll to be outstanding.

Even if you don't post plays, I hope you'll pop in once in awhile as I enjoy our discussions. Early this morning I tried the chat room when I couldn't get into the forums. Enjoyed it. Sometime if you wish to talk about something, we could go to the chat room and have a private chat. Let me know. There's plenty to talk about. Maybe MLB!

SSI, do you do all your accounting on a monthly basis? Also do you really use paper for all your accounting or have you found using a system like excel is better for management. Also would love to be kept in the loop as to what you are playing...I know we are gonna be having discussions in the NHL forum come tuesday, however if you dont post here is there any way I could find out what you are playing through some other channel? perhaps email?

funny I seem to handicap a different way...I try not to look too much at ATS stats as i find they can sometimes be deceiving...two recent examples were Sac Kings last night who were 7-0 ats at home when coming off a rest....or the superbowl stat that the point spread has mattered in only 2 or 3 of the superbowl games played thus far....(Oddly enough you, aswell as I

ignored these trends & bet on the correct side....I have to admit I was nervous with that stat on the Panthers in the Superbowl but less nervous last night with SA.

I myself have always been more of a value player...but would like to encorporate some varying styles aswell....58% is an optomistic but acheivable goal...hope you reach it.

SSI, Ted,

how many 'outs' do you currently use...or feel is necessary?

I usually have 2 or 3 acounts funded offshore aswell as my local guy...

SSI, do you have an account at Skybook? or do you feel reduced juice is important? I would figure that the free 1/2 point & reduced juice would be invaluable to a player such as yourself.

savant, i play at Oly and pinny almost exclusively online, i have an account at BHB becuase i have won a few contests there this year. I dont mind telliny you that ive try and keep about 5k at Oly and 5k at Pinny for online wagering.. I have 2 locals that i use alot, i have a 3rd that i can use.. 90% of my plays are done with 4 outs (Oly,Pinny) and the 2 main locals..

I will post my plays alot but im only going to do it when i feel like it.. I am not into the everyday thing at the moment.. I played MST, Ga Tech, Prov today (all winners), i also lost on KY.. so 3-1 isnt a bad start for this month.. ive got dallas (-5.5 bet last night) clev-4.5, mil -4, pitt -4, vandy+8 going tonight.. so ive got 9 games going today.. thats a few too many but there are going to be some days when i play only 1 or 2, so my month is going to average around 120 plays and i feel that i can hit (58%) i almost always have.... As for the paper work, YES: im old school, i do everything on paper, i want it in a notebook -- right in front of me. I carry this notebook around everywhere with me.. I keep one for each month now, it has stats-trends, start times, just information that i gather that is important to me..

Yes, im ready for tuesday hockey action.. and im definately getting ready for MLB...

To answer your question, I have mutiple outs. It is necessary in order for me to limit the risk of my overall bankroll and yet be adequate to spread the play around. Remember, I keep a separate bankroll for each sport. This also allows me to wager in sufficient size yet not be limited in play, although that has occured at certain outs. I spent two years researching the various offshore shops following taking a hit two years ago when Sportsmarket/Aces Gold failed. My accounts are currently in those books well known that are the most solid. Bonuses and half points are nice, but security is my top priority. Reduced juice is very important provided the book is solid like Pinnacle. Not all reduced juice shops are financially sound. So be careful.
For most players, having 2 or 3 outs is sufficient or using a money transfer like neteller is more than adequate. Hope that answer your question.

Sometimes I'll have some plays on the side that I may not post as well. Like you, I took Kentucky late against Florida early in the week. Today, I've played UAB, Miami Florida, and Pitt but didn't post as they are more the opinion level then a rated play. Didn't feel the forum would be interested in my listing opinions as well as rated plays. If a poster asks me, like you have at times, I am more than happy to share if I have an opinion, a lean, or no opinion. Sometimes the discussion is helpful. Early this week Cheapseats asked me about the total on the Air Force/UNLV total and although I had no play on the total and lost the side, the discussion helped him decide, as he made a 3* winning play on the Under at Oly. Always, glad to see a fellow poster have success. Makes this oldman feel good.
