Big difference in both the talent and health of these two teams. Acknowledge Niner comeback from 28-12 deficit last week against an Arizona team that had dominated early, but the injury list keeps getting longer with the loss of franchise player Julius Peterson. Find it difficult to see how a badly damaged defense with losses in the trenches, linebackers and secondary will be able to stop both the running attack led by Curtis Martin or the passing attack led by Chad Pennington. Offensively, just don't see any ability to consistently move the ball either on the ground or in the air. Sandwich game for the Jets as coming off beating Miami and Buffalo with New England on deck, but fundamentals all point to Jets here. Hence,

1* New York Jets -9.5 (Free Half Point)

Overall Unit Record YTD: (25-9.9-1)(+15.10) 2*(2-0)(+4.00) 1*(21-9-1)(+11.10)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (23-9-1) 71.875%
NFL Record YTD: (6-2)(+4.80)
NCAAF Record YTD: (17-7-1)(+10.30)

Plays are rated 1*-5*.

Good Luck All.

Ted,

Sorry I haven't replied sooner but I was in London last Week visiting my Brother, who has been very lucky. Apparently he went into a Chemist and asked for some indigestion tablets. Thanks to a heads up call by the Chemist, decided to take his blood-pressure and then call an Ambulance, hence saving his life.

Thanks to all for the good wishes. He started only last year betting my tips and won a tidy sum, however, I hope it was not my bad start to the season that led to the problem.

Congratulations on the good start to the season, long may it last.:aktion033 On a purely constructive note, I still feel The Jets are an accident waiting to happen. It seems every Week they get a break of some kind and as you have said in your post, Peterson is a big blow to the 49ers. I had no faith this Week in taking on The Jets, although injuries to Kendall and Moore has made me think the Offense will not be the usual greased wheel. With Moss doubtful and the 49ers getting a " what have we to lose" attitude on Offense, 5/1 + M/L is starting to look tempting.

Lastly Ted, I hope you dont mind me being a bit negative in your threads. The majority of the time I agree with you whole-heartedly but for some reason I hardly ever post to just say good luck. As always, you are this Forum's best asset but I do find myself wondering what your response is to a tits-up bet.
Great Job on the press-up plays :suomi:

First and most importantly, very glad to hear that your brother is doing better. As for your comments, no need to explain anything. Feel free to express your thoughts in any of my threads at any time. Lastly, you'll have to help me with your last question regarding what my response would be to a tits-up bet. You may find this surprising but I don't know what that means.

Mario:

The illness from which I suffer is a rare disease and has no known cause or cure. It is not life threatening but is painful and uncomfortable on a daily basis. I do the best that I can each day. Some periods I am very fatigued and have little strength, so often times I need to rest. There will be periods of times when I am too fatigued to post and I have always vowed to make sure that any selection I post has been thoroughly evaluated to the best of my ability. When I am weak, I am unable to complete my evaluation and therefore refrain from posting selections. I feel I owe it to the forum to give my best and would not be satisfied if I gave anything less. As for my age, I am 56 years old. Thank you as well as everyone else who has expressed their concern, support and appreciation. I will continue to post as long as I am willing and able. Best wishes to you.

Thanks for your efforts and great insights. You have what is greatly lacking in our society, INTEGRITY. Best of luck. As much as I appreciate your picks, you come first. On a lighter note, as I tell myself and other friends on the best side of 50...just a wee bit of Jim Beam. Take care.

Good call OMT. Poor coaching on two missed 2 point conversions.
