Coming off a 2-2 day yesterday, winning with a rare strong 3* release on Pittsburgh as well as with North Carolina State, but losing on Cincinnati and Maryland yet showing a profit on the day. Back today with one play only. Although I like this play a great deal, in the month of February, major conference road favorites have been taking a beating and I certainly have had my share of losses when releasing plays in this category. That being said, there is a significant difference in talent, style and level of play in this game tonight, so I make the release but keep cautious with a regular play.

3* Oklahoma State -1

Overall Unit Record YTD: (112-90.3) 55.36% 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(9-4)(+13.8) 1*(80-70-3)(+2.9)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (90-74-3) 54.88%
NCAAB Record YTD: (44-50-1)(-9.2)
NBA Record YTD: (11-4-1)(+8.6)
NCAAF Record YTD: (21-8)(+22.0) (Final Bowl Game Record 19-8 Included)
NFL Record YTD: (14-12-1)(+0.3)

Plays are rated 1*-5*

Good Luck All.

Edited to increase rating on Oklahoma State to 3*.

Ted, I'm getting 2s and 2.5s. How much is too much to give? And would you consider the ML?

Thanks

There is still -1 out there at Hollywood and many -1.5's. Money is coming in on Oklahoma as many services have them although it seems split. I would not lay more than -2 and the ML or buying points, whichever is better, is a definite option. This is all being said because I don't like laying much as a conference road favorite in a rivalry game. Good luck to you, whatever you decide.

Agreed. Nice to be on the same side tonight. I'd like to see this pattern of conference road favorites being beaten end tonight in this game.

Thank you. Expected most to be on Oklahoma State. This team has awesome talent and is vastly superior to Oklahoma. Just need to get passed the role of conference road favorite. If that pattern wasn't running so strong in February, I would be making this a strong 3* play. Good luck to you tonight as well.

Like the play on the ND/SYR total. Opened at 146 and climbed to 150 before slightly settling back. I'll root for you and your friend tonight. Good luck.

Ted, looks like I am the minority here in this game with Oklahoma. Some say its a good thing , some say its a bad thing. I dont know, all I know is that this game really fried my brain out. The others came easy, but this one was alittle tricky, as I initially felt Okl St when I saw the number. I needed to dig to get comfortable with taking Oklahoma. STill now that my play is in , I have nothing left in the tank, running on fumes right now. Good luck to you with Okie St though, your in good company with your pick. Aloha my friend. CC.

A little scary that so many of us have braved the road-dog and revenge barriers, but we took Okie St. because they've been playing so well - and that's why we had NC State yesterday. Right? So no regrets. Good luck.

I know you are in the minority here and that you are getting a lot of questions which can tire you out. When a game is that hard to figure, it is generally an indication that you are having difficulty because you have fear of the opponent. Sometimes your first impression is the best one. This game jumped off the page to me and the only thing that is bothering me is not the fundamental match-ups but how many times I have been burned this month playing conference road favorites. All that being said, I am still considering bumping this to a strong 3* play for me as I continue to check and see if I've missed anything which as of now, I haven't. Good luck to you tonight with all your plays.

It is the conference road favorite that has been a money burner for me in February. The opposite side, i.e. the conference home dog has been on fire, witness yesterday as all the home teams won and covered. 11-0-1. Just took a quick look at my record in these spots and I believe my selections have been 1-8 in the month of February in this situation. Like I said, however, really like this spot tonight and may bump it to a 3* play. Good luck tonight.

Have liked this play since the line was released yesterday. Just can't get out of my mind the game that Oklahoma played against Texas. Totally lost and completely outclassed in every facet of the game. Futhermore, continue to envision the total dominance that Oklahoma State showed over Kansas. The speed, athletic talent, shooting, point guard play, rebounding and defense all favor Oklahoma State. The Sooners just don't match-up well here. All they have is home court and I truly respect that in this situation, but Oklahoma State is the real deal with tremendous talent.
I'm going to bump this play to a strong 3* play and buck the current trend of conference home dogs coming out on top. I'll edit my original thread to reflect the increase in rating. Good luck all.

I hear you. This was very difficult for me. But all the fundamentals are overwhelming tonight. In all honesty, last night was a bit of a different situation. Tonight, Oklahoma is going to have to play way over their ability to win this game. Realize the home court will help their comfort level and lift them to a higher level but I still can't see it being enough to overcome the talent level of State. Well, it's about time for tip-off, so I'm out for awhile.

Nice 3* call on Okie State there Ted .... haven't been able to read the Big 12 (my home conference) this year at all as I thought OU would rise up tonight .... my Jayhawks have been very disappointing lately not showing much heart in back-to back blowout losses .... the Cowboys look to be in good shape to take the reg season title, although can't count Texas out quite yet .... congrats again on consecutive 3* winners!!
