OMT, I know a lot of people here love football season but isn't it worse in that you can only bet a few days a week as opposed to betting every day with baseball?
For me, it's not necessarily a love of football, but I started my sports betting with the NFL, which is still my best sport to handicap, although this year I'm way behind as I didn't see any of the preseason games, so I'm going to watch a bit first. I don't need to bet everyday. For me, baseball is a more recreational level betting, while football is real serious money, so the weekends is plenty for me as well as MNF. Then you have the bowl season and the NFL playoffs. To me, what separates football from other sports, is the fact that the teams prepare a week for one game, so each is meaningful and they play like it in most cases. While in MLB and the NBA are every night and teams just don't have time to prepare properly from day to day. Now, the NFL, NBA, and NCAAB post season is very betable as the games are very meaningful so I do bet them accordingly. A game being meaningful is one of my key elements in capping. If it doesn't matter, I don't bet it!
