I have the opposite problem. I have a friend who calls me out of the blue. Says "take this team" or "take this total" so I do whatever he says, he's a semi-pro. More often than not I win.

So I tell him "next time I'm in town I'm buying dinner at Ruth's Chris". He refuses. WTF??? What do I do? He refuses any money or meals. Hell, I can't even buy him a lap dance at a strip club!

Well We know you're Not talking about Dante here. @)

You tell him to enjoy his winnings and that you refuse any sort of payment.

Gambling Karma says he's got to give something (it's like a sacrifice to the gods).

3.5K + dinner is reasonable. If you don't want the money, you could donate to some charity or something (good idea, actually).

Well, I'm only taking Dinner. Even My wife knows I won't take the money.

I wouldnt want the money so I would tell him a night at the hottest strip club in town on him or to hire in a few girls or if he wants, a weekend in Vegas... All are well under a few grand and a lot more friendship oriented than just taking his cash

I guess if I were Single, and he didn't Know My wife too. This would be a Plan. :103631605

Betallsports- do the friendship a favor.

Mention that set of Pings you have had your eye on for quite a while or how you are thinking of buying a new set of Michelins for the wife's ride, something along those lines (a nice gift in the $1500 range) if he insists on duking you something for the plays that could have just as easily lost.

Do not take cash from a friend because you shared some picks with him, regardless if he is loaded to begin with or not.

ZERO! Do you pay a part of his losses? Threads like this are getting old. This site is going downhill fast.

If he bets 30k on a game , why is he being so grateful for hitting 40k? Thats just a little over a one game score.
