if the dude wants to give a cut of the "winnings" you must take some.
dont insult the guy by refusing the gift

take no more than 10%

use it to make more for down the road...

this stuff doesn't happen everyday...

I don't know about that, I would rather not take any cash from him.

10 percent.
When I was working for an 'office' in Boston, that was my cut (of losses) for every new customer I brought in.

i have one friend who i collaborate on with most of my bets. when we differ dramatically we make our own wagers then bet a plane ticket (him to cali or me to hawaii) and then food (i buy him in-n-out if i lose, he buys me teddys if he loses) and then we go out to bars and try to beat the man again. i'd say this happens once every couple months and its an arrangement that works out well. maybe your friend can buy each of you a ticket to vegas or atlantic city for next weekend. :103631605

Tell him to tone his bets now he is up 43k. I would take no more than 3500. That's just my thoughts. Do what you feel is right.

That is some serious cash. I can barely squeeze out enough monopoly money to make a wager from time to time.

Good for him though. Prolly earned every red cent.

Yeah, I don't know many like him. Plus he is such a Cool guy !

Also, there are times that he Bets that kind of money on a Game...And Doesn't Watch the Game !!

If that was Me...I would be watching Every Fuking Min of the game. Turn off My Phones.....Etc..

But like I said before, the Guy is a Pro. When he Caps games, he will Cap for Hours
During Football, he will start Capping the Games on Tuesday..for Sunday
7-8 hours a day.

I have the opposite problem. I have a friend who calls me out of the blue. Says "take this team" or "take this total" so I do whatever he says, he's a semi-pro. More often than not I win.

So I tell him "next time I'm in town I'm buying dinner at Ruth's Chris". He refuses. WTF??? What do I do? He refuses any money or meals. Hell, I can't even buy him a lap dance at a strip club!

If he had lost 43.5k and demanded money from you to help offset his losses would you pay up? If not, then your cut should be zero.

I Told him I don't want anything. I Bet them Myself.

He still want's to Throw some $$$ my way.

I Think the Dinner thing would work :103631605 ( Without the Feel )

Gambling Karma says he's got to give something (it's like a sacrifice to the gods).

3.5K + dinner is reasonable. If you don't want the money, you could donate to some charity or something (good idea, actually).

Btw...if he wanted you to have any of it...he would have handed you an envelope and said I want you to have this and I will not accept no.
