Quit smoking alittle over 2 years ago and have just become a fat pig.

5'11 230 and just cant stop eating. I was 185 before I quit with the highest weight ever was 195.

So today is the day I have picked to turn it all around. I cant stand being in 42 inch pants. I cant stand having to roll alittle just to get socks on. I cant stand having trouble getting in some XL shirts.

So the first step I am taking is starting the Lemonade cleanse to try and regroup the body from all the pizza, mac and cheese, sausage sandwiches, and 7'11 hot dogs.

So any advice,tips, or strategies im all ears.

Thanks man. Ill keep that in mind.

For all you guys who did the cleanse. Is the lemonade supposed to taste like ass. I was assuming it would be atleast tasty but all im tasting is the pepper.

Well the lemonade thing didnt last. I got to about 3 o clock, did the saltwater, was cool with that, shit a ton, but than when I went for the refreshing lemonade it tasted like shit.

Did I make it wrong, do i need the pepper. Anyone who did the diet can you give me some help.

Seriously, change your eating, when you go shopping buy your groceries from the outside of the store and not in the isles. So Meats, Dairy, Breads and Lots and lots of vegetables. Hint if it comes in a box chances are it's not good for you.

1. Exercize early in the morning. Most of the calories will come from fat not from a previous meal.

2. Cut starchy carbs (breads, macaroni; some beans; etc) after 7. If you dont burn these calories off they will turn to fat

3. Eat 5 small portions rather than 3 large ones

4. Think about doing some muscle training 1 pound of muscle burns an extra 35-50 calories.

1. Change your mindset. Stop with the gimmick diets like this peppery lemonade BS. There is no magic potion. You need a change in lifestyle, not a diet. A diet is temporary. You need to start eating better overall permanently, with hot dogs and cheesesteaks mixed in, instead of the other way around.

2. It doesnt matter what diet you go on, you need to consume less calories than you burn. No matter what kind of crazy diet you do - this is the foundation.

3. Eat 5-7 meals per day. A protein shake counts as a meal. A banana counts as a meal. A bowl of cereal counts as a meal. Space them out 2-3 hours apart. This is very very very very very very very very very important. Make sure every meal is light - but surpresses hunger. When you're hungry, eat. Dont EVER overeat at any meal.

Your body is always in survival mode. Your body doesnt know you live in 2007 with supermarkets killing your food for you. Your body thinks every meal is it's last, you live out in the woods, and it saves meals as fat when you eat 3 meals per day. You need to train your body to let it know food is on the way every 2-3 hours and NOTHING should be saved as fat storage because you will provide - ALWAYS.

4. Keep it simple. No crazy diet is necessary. A bowl of cereal in the morning like Special K or Total. A banana/apple/grapefruit as a snack 2 hours later. Order a footlong sub from subway like a turkeybreastsub on wheat bread. Eat 1/2 then. Eat the other half 2 hours later. A protein shake or granola bar 2 hours later. Sirloin steak, Chicken Breast or Fish with some veggies for dinner. Small cup of cottage cheese before bed. That's 7 meals right there. Each one is light. Each one has smart carbs. Each one will surpress hunger. Each one should be a small portion, typically no seconds, and shouldnt make you full. Before you know it, your metabolism will speed back up, your body will begin burning fat, and you will start losing weight - especially if you combine a good diet with some cardio or weightlifting activity.

You will learn after awhile you werent really craving the hot dog, you were just hungry and like Pavlovs dog you were conditioned to eating hot dogs when you were hungry.

When you get hungry for that kind of shit, drink something strong like orange juice and it will usually turn you off to it. I love ice cream and shit, and in the beginning stages of my diets, I'll want ice cream bad. I'll drink some orange juice and the last thing I think about after is mixing acidic orange juice with dairy ice cream.

Start with that, and then work out the details like when to eat certain carbs, etc.

this is one hell of a post,every single detail,is dead on,if this post dont help ye,you dont want any help...im goin to add one thing,,,walk for 3o minutes in the mornin,walkfor 30 minutes in the evenin,annnnd the fat will come rollin off.(my experience)

I know i have to do some type of exercise with me 6 days a week

Somehow Hog nuts you are under the impression that doing the cleanse was a diet? Was looking to just start over and figured get the toxins out.

you ever thought about trying the south beach diet? Cuts carbs but you are still allowed to eat the good ones, its a strict 2 week phase to start which is hard, but after 2 weeks it relaxs and you continue to take weight off slowly.

google south beach diet or go to the library and get the book and the recipe book
