It may not come as a shock that a candidate caught repeatedly on camera switching her accent depending on the audience would have little attachment to sincerity. Still, the claims made by a famous plagiarism hunter about a book written by Harris prior to her term as California attorney general could knock her campaign goal to present herself as a breath of fresh air. Joe Biden, at least, had the good sense to plagiarise from a senior British politician: Harris is alleged to have ripped straight from Wikipedia.
