Redneckman, I love that quote -- LOVE IT. I have been using it ever since Obama unleashed it and can't wipe this huge grin off my face.

In all seriousness, so far, it is this election's "I actually did vote for the 87 billion..."

The American people will remember that one for a loooong time to come.

Saddleback McCain takes down Obama for the count

Agreed, it's the quote that will keep on giving. My problem is more of a big picture problem, I'm not a McCain guy at all, and when he wins, the wackjobs on the left will just blame McCain, and then here comes the Hildabeast in 2012. So no real conservative change for 8 years, instead of four. That's what I'm trying to reconcile in my mind.

I'm not a McCain guy, either, Redneckman, but keep something in mind.

McCain -- unlike Bush, I'm sorry to say -- knows how to sell conservatism. That's about 3/4 of the battle right there.

As Rush always says, conservatism wins every time it's tried. Republicans have the product -- from low taxes to family values and defeating evil, the bottom line is, the American people don't want liberalism. If they did, Obama would be surging in the polls. So all we need is someone to carry the message forward. On that front, McCain is a HUGE improvement over the monosyllabic stuttering retard we have right now. Remember, the best asset a president has is that bully pulpit.

What you see is what you get with John McCain.

Win the war.
Confirm the judges.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Seal the border.

Those are my priorities.

I figure if McCain can come through on at least 3 of those -- we already know his stance on #5 is horrific, but that's a battle for another day -- the GOP will be in a good position by the midterms in 2 years. McCain is definitely more fiscally conservative than Bush which is an area the GOP with a little leadership can reclaim as theirs.

Whatever our misgivings about McCain -- and believe me, I know the list is longer than Obama's gaffes -- the alternative of turning this country over to Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama is just too horrifying to even contemplate. :scared:

Despite the Sen "Maverick" poking conservatives in the eye the last few years, for now, I'm willing to bury the hatchet and give him a shot.

America first -- party politics second. :103631605

Why do you care? You're leaving the country anyway, right?

Please remind us when you are leaving?

We should start a fucking paypal account and all donate to get his ass out of the country as soon as possible. Enough already, grab your sneaks and run for the border and don't come back!:finger:
