I haven't posted CBB here this year, but I browse this forum almost everyday to see who everyone is playing. I have a couple of questions that maybe some people can help me out with.
1)How many different outs does everyone have? The reason I ask is that most times when a poster questions someone else"where did you find that line", they always seem to find the line somewhere. I can't imagine that everyone has accounts at all places. I will answer first in that I have accounts @ Grande, Rio, Olympic, and 2 locals.
2)Do you think buying points in CBB is a good idea? If you buy all the time, you have to hit approx 54.7% to eak out a small profit.

Thanks in advance for anyone that answers.

I buy .5 points all the time. Rather push than lose. I was lucky I bought last night and got a push of the USC game. I probably pushed 20 times this year.

I have 4 outs plus a local. I loved Canbet but they post the lines later now. I mainly go with Olympic and Pinnacle.

nysports:

In my particular case, I have many, many outs as I have to spread my bankroll around in order to have sufficient funds in each as well as stay under the radar as much as possible. I keep separate bankrolls for each sport and during football and basketball season, that means a total of four, so I need to have many outs to break the funds down so as not to attract to much attention to my plays. I have been asked to move my business elsewhere at a few outs already.

As to your second question, I personally don't think it is a good idea to buy points in any type of basketball except once in awhile where one has a strong feeling that a game might play tight. Buying the half or more routinely simply makes it more difficult to cover the vig over the long haul. Football is a different matter. With basketball, the score changes so much, that buying the half is like playing an office pool or the lottery. The more percentage of money it costs you to play, the less likely you are to turn a profit.

ny,

I have three locals (one is slow moving) and 1 offshore out.

I rarely buy points in hoops. I rarely buy points in football because my outs do not allow us to buy on or off 3, which is the one number to consider buying.

i have 3 offshores one local
as far as the 1/2 point deal the first year i lurked here it seemed i lost 2 maybe three aweek by the 1/2. last year i did buy on some games and it didnt seem to pay enough.
this year i've played over 450 games and it has only figured in 7 or 8 games so you figure it out. i dont think it's worth it.
may do it more in the big games to come as it will be buzzer beaters and close point games

I HAVE 2 OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS, AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE 4-5 WHEN FOOTBALL STARTS. ALSO HAVE ONE LOCAL.

I AGREE 110% WITH OLDMANTED ABOUT BUYING POINTS. I THINK IT IS A WASTE IN BASKETBALL. IN FOOTBALL I CAN UNDERSTAND BECAUSE SO MANY GAMES END UP ON CERTAIN NUMBERS. (EX. 3-7-10). IN BASKETBALL IT CAN BE ANYTHING FROM 1-30+.

NYSports,

I have 6 Outs ( PINNACLE ---- HOLLWOOD ---- C.R.I.S. ----- WWTS ----- SKYBOOK ---- OLYMPIC) AND 1 Local Out.

PINNACLE is simply the BEST for the Bases & reduced Juice.
HOLLYWOOD has reduced juice as well.
SKYBOOK with the Free Half-Point.

AND anyone in the Rx Forums will tell you that you can never go wrong putting your Money into SOild, Well-funded outs ----- such as CRIS --- WWTS --- OLYMPIC.

PLUS ---- it NEVER HURTS to spread you bank over multiple lines, thus giving you MORE LINE options to
(a) Help you find the Best Number
(b) Help to keep your Total Pot spread out over multiple "Banks (Outs)" .... THUS not attracting too much attention for Large Funds in one account.

Just My Humble Opinion!
