i have been yesterday night to St. Bernabeau to watch La Liga match Real- Gijon (7-1).
Apart from the crazy score i have to say for future considerations:
- Gijon is completely outmatched in La Liga...they promoted from 2nd division and are really weak on defense. It was not great or special from Real offense, just so much space to do whatever you like. Their defense is slow and most of all the players are physically weak and outmatched.
- Gijon might have a chance vs. other lower tear team, but against mid-table or top teams they will concede a lot of goals.
- Nevertheless they are speedy and somehow dangerous on offense.
Even after being already emberassed (7 goals in 62 min.) they kept on playing a open style and tried to attack...leaving even more room for the other team. If that s their normal style (and supposely they did the same in last weeks 1-6 home loss to Barca) they will be due for some overs.
- Real: Not talking about their offense, because there was no real opponent to judge the offense from, but still their defense looked redicoulus at times...so many gaps and they are not able to free themselves by proper passing. They are just weak and will conceide against better teams. So Real stays a big over team as they have always been.
