Both parties do it. In the primaries, the candidates pander to the bases of their respective parties to get the nomination, but once the general election comes along, the start moving to the center to get themselves elected.

Mccain is really fucked with the Evangelicals

Obama .. estimates are he will get 40% of that vote as Dobson's "magic"
pull is gone completely

Obama is now leading in INDIANA!! .... Bush won that state by 21 pts in
2004 ...

Follow the local results the last few months ... Rove is out of bullets
and the FEAR shit is just that

Obama is your Next President unless Rove has Mob connections and with
the hardcore racist base of Republicans I fear we are looking at 68 all over

Why is it that liberal's run from liberalism?

Why don't they stand up and say "I'm liberal and I'm proud". The gays are farther out of the closet than these fucking lying bozos.

Maybe they know the country won't electing a looney lib, eh?
I haven't read the rest of the thread but I CAN say that Republicans have been spending cash like liberal bitches ever since Reagan took office.

Both parties are faking it bigtime.

That recent Ron Paul ticket was heavily based on a
no-bullshit prudent fiscal conservative platform, and we called him a loon.

I would love to see this country for once get a solid 3rd party ticket

Love him ... hate him ... call him whatever but Ventura is interesting
to listen to and his last few appearances on LKL and MSNBC have
been good stuff

He is right ... fuck the system as the current setup sucks to say
the least

No need to spend a lot of time selling to the progressives and liberal voters. Senator Obama pretty much has them locked down.

Now he's working to expand the Big Tent to let middle of the road Republicans know that they need not concede their valuable vote to a warmongering, non-Christian 26 year Washington DC insider.

For more votes? Why is that so hard to understand.

Back in the day you would say GWB is a conservative right? Would you call him that now?! He turned out to be more liberal than Gore.

I think we can all pretty much agree with this post - both parts.

McCain didn't exactly pander to the right, so I disagree with you on this one. He was just fortunate enough to have the rightie fragments split their votes while he won winner take all states with 30 something % of the vote.
