Rolltide is a Grade A clown... dude provides nonstop nonsense. But he's cool in the sports forums and provides good information. If only he acted like that in the Poly. Unfortunately I don't see that happening, as he has provided some really dumb shit over the years. Libertarians are the worst.

ISIS is only 10 years old. Give them some time.

Almost forgot to mention, you are one smug, arrogant prick.

One time Rolltide told me I was too quick to get to 'GFY'. So I took it into consideration, no doubt. Have literally gone out of my way to be nice to and relate to the guy, and pretty much everyone else since. Where is Comrade666 by the way? :)

Always gave Rolltide the benefit of the doubt, even after he made references to me being an Israel firster. He even made a snide remark about it when I took a break from posting for a time -- Oh he's not here because no one wants to talk about Israel -- some BS like that. Rolltide was also anti-Israel in the Flotilla threads, an incident in which a ragtag group of jihadis and far left trash attacked the Israeli navy on the guise of aiding Gaza (with broken wheelchairs and expired medicine). Now most of us can see at this point in time why Israel is concerned about what goes into Gaza, notwithstanding how many Iranian ships filled with weapons for Hamas have sailed through these same waterways.

Now Rolltide is saying that the Mossad and the CIA are worse than ISIS, and shouting back at me when I protest that stupidity, that I wouldn't have responded if he just said CIA. Really now? Is there one person on this forum besides him that would not consider me Pro-America? Is America attacked in this forum as much as Israel? Not even close. Do I fail to back up my posts in support of either country when I discuss foreign policy? Or do I make broad sweeping conclusions like Rolltide and then when challenged decline to support my position and then start a fight?

Rolltide's latest hero is the slob Jason Ditz from antiwar.com who probably never leaves his house. Didja hear? Obama and the Military Industrial Complex invented the Yazidi tragedy just to go to war. The Yazidis didn't run to the mountain to escape nice friendly ISIS. No, they were already living there. And ISIS was just dropping by to invite them to an NFL handicapping challenge, not force them to convert to a strict version of Islam at the point of a sword like the CIA does Shush()*
Who needs Loren and Total Recall (before your time Mantis) when we have Rolltide? If anyone here is anti-American it's Rolltide himself!

yeah keep on yapping mr warmonger and please keep pressing your Islamophobia on us. there's a reason our military budget is higher than the NEXT EIGHT COUNTRIES COMBINED and it's exactly the way this superpower will get knocked down.

sorry if I don't cheer on the bombing of schools and hospitals and get moist when my country illegally bombs another nation based on a completely false premise (over and over and over). i'm anti-Imperialist and anti-illegal war, but certainly not anti-american.

you're really not a bad guy but you're absolutely ridiculous when typing about the middle east. you can't look at it with even the slightest bit of objectivity and you are way too emotional which makes you no better than an adolescent girl in my eyes (just with those subjects, of course). the way you discuss israel and muslims is the way akphi discusses, well, everything. it's completely embarrassing...but then again i don't need to put naked women as my avatar to show how manly i am so we're certainly not cut from the same cloth

ha ha...glad you're making friends with akphi and toboggan. you must be so proud!

almost time for you to start fudging rolltide quotes so that i fit neatly into the category you've placed me in

I am completely with you. ISIS is cruising around slicing 5 year old boys in half, crucifying people, and brutally raping girls but the United States military is the real terrorist group. Rolltide is a pompous ass and Antiwar.com/Justin Raimondo could be described as just a tad anti-Semitic. Unfortunately, even Libertarian hero Ron Paul could be described in the same light.

Well i see RT is on to me and my avatar. Guess it was only a matter of time. As for the chart, I will not dispute the US spends the most, but find it hard to believe China's and Russia's are accurate. Saudi Arabia's.....well that's just money we send them being spent. May as well be part of our total.

You're all over the place man. Can't you just disagree with someone if they're "really not a bad guy?" Can't you just say where you stand and why? Why is someone who believes differently than you about how to keep America safer a "warmonger?"

I want to see destroyed the people killing innocent Iraqis, who I believe are coming for us. I have a different opinion than you about SAVING innocent people. Is that not OK???

Have you not seen me time and time again differentiate to the point of disagreeing with Zit and Joe about moderate Islam and Sharia-imposing radicals? Have I not highlighted and trumpeted moderate Islam in this forum, and pointed those who step forward as heroes? So there goes your Islamophobia accusation out the window.

Now who here is happy about "bombing schools and hospitals?" I assume you mean Israel. As much as you hate it the fact is no army in the history of warfare fights more morally than the Israelis. NONE, PERIOD! Unfortunately the bombing of sites that are supposed to be neutral is a blight not on Israel, but of the type of military campaign its savage enemy conducts.

As far as America's "illegal" war are you now an expert on the vague term known as "International Law?" Name one law America (or Israel for that matter) has contravened? Because it just "feels" illegal to you does not make it illegal.

What quotes do I need to fake? Your prejudices are already stated and repeated off your own keyboard. And the way you describe me as being narrow on objectivity about a situation that anyone with morals should be able to clearly see reveals a shortcoming about you, not me. This means in your twisted view I'm "an adolescent girl" because I stand up for what is right, and can back up my position, unlike you who spits mere conjecture?

And the hot Brazilian chick in my avatar to "show how manly I am." Are you nuts? That's a rhetorical question. Look around the forum at the various avatars. Everyone is trying to prove how manly they are, except for you Rolltide. And by the way mine was blank for the longest time. Now I have to answer, "who is that chick in your avatar?" PMs from guys who never post. :)

But I agree with you on one thing - We are definitely cut from a different cloth. Now if you could come with an opinion that wars will bankrupt the US economically and end our status as a superpower, reasonable people might consider the point. But when you throw in your CIA, Mossad, and lie our way into an illegal war crap you'll appropriately be seen as a laughingstock.

Rolltide's avatar is Barry Goldwater, whose father changed his name from Goldwasser.

Rep. Goldwater Assails Mcgovern’s Mideast Proposals As Unrealistic, Short-sighted July 22, 1970
WASHINGTON (Jul. 21)

Rep. Barry Goldwater Jr. of California, son of the Arizona Republican Senator Barry Goldwater, today attacked Sen. George S. McGovern’s Middle East proposals of yesterday as “short-sighted,” “unrealistic” and “restrictive.” The first-term Republican, who was elected in April, 1969, criticized the South Dakota Democrat’s recommended prohibition of Israeli use of American jets for “forays over Arab territory.” In his statement, Rep. Goldwater asserted: “Such an unrealistic requirement would reduce Israeli air supremacy in the Suez Canal area, thereby intensifying Egyptian Infiltration. Restrictions on the use of Israeli aircraft would increase the possibility of an Egyptian-Soviet-launched invasion across the canal.

In short, Sen. McGovern’s proposal could tie the hands of the Israeli Air Force in contending with Soviet military assistance in the Middle East, and could escalate the conflict.” The proposal, he said, “is short-sighted because it does not consider the total picture. Rep. Goldwater likened Israeli military strength to that of the American-South Vietnamese alliance in the Far East. “We are still heavily involved in Vietnam today.” he said, “because some politicians have been able to cripple the execution of essential ground, air and naval action. It would appear that Sen. McGovern, as the author of an amendment restricting United States action in Vietnam, is not content with trying to lie the hands of his own country in dealing with Communist aggression, but is now trying to tie the hands of Israel in dealing with Communist-backed aggression in the Middle East.”

The younger Goldwater recently returned from the Mideast, where he was one of only a handful of American politicians permitted to visit secret Israeli Air Force facilities. He also met with Foreign Minister Abba Eban and visited the Golan Heights, Lebanon and other areas. On July 2, the day after President Nixon’s televised “conversation.” Rep. Goldwater agreed that the Mideast is “truly more potentially dangerous than the Indochina conflict.” In April, following a 10-day visit to the Mideast, he stated that American refusal to sell Israel its 125 requested jets would “increase rather than decrease” the crisis.

Sen. Goldwater was a co-signer of last month’s letter to Secretary of State William P. Rogers from 76 Senators urging approval of the jet request. Rep. Goldwater has said that he is basically not “pro-Israel” or “pro-Arab” but “pro-freedom.” In his Senate speech yesterday. Mr. McGovern also suggested a “unilateral” Israeli-allocated “escrow account” for compensation of Palestinian refugees as possibly “the greatest single step toward peace”; Arab governmental responsibility for terrorist aggression from Arab soil; Israeli and Arab acceptance of United Nations forces on their land; and Palestinian participation in peace negotiations if the Arab governments request it.

you've gone completely off the plot if you're trying to paint Barry Goldwater as an anti-semite because his grandfather Anglicized the name Goldwasser. then again, who the fuck knows what you're getting at. it's in your little grey matter rolling around and fist bumping with vitterd's invisible man next to his computer

btw, even though he was raised Episcopalian he was the victim of and incredible amount of anti-semitism for being half-Jewish. strange a guy scott labels as a hater uses a pro-Israel jewish man as his political idol. keep it up, scotty....you make about as much sense as scooby doo. keep on labeling as it uses such little brain power

I would love your explanation of how ISIS was created....should make for some terrific entertainment (and, no I don't believe Israel or Mossad have anything to do with ISIS' creation) ... I'm sure for you it's just a bunch of nutter Muslim radicals that hate the USA, right? yeah, go with that

hint: review Iraq's PM and some of the first actions he took once the USA left the nation. also review who put him in power and the major issues advisers in this nation had about this man assuming any power at all

NOT EVEN CLOSE. You have serious communication issues along with your already overflowing plate of disorders spilling over the edges. Goldwasser's father probably changed his name so people like you would buy from his store. I have nothing against Goldwater. I was differentiating HIM, from YOU!

You responded to what, 1% of my previous two posts? And now you want me to do more work for you after another lazy swing and a miss. Forget it, little man.

well you go on these lengthy, boring diatribes that are based in opinion, not fact. and i don't have the time, interest, or energy to pick it apart line by line

especially against someone so close-minded

you're the right wing vitterd...you forgot this is first, and foremost, a betting forum and sit there pressing F5 on the poliforum looking to label the next guy in line

small minded people need to incorrectly label others and parade around some woman in their avatar that would laugh them out of a room

Yeah I know, it sucks when someone overwhelms you with the truth. Especially when you're lazy and uninformed.

Attack me because you're too lazy to attack what I type. And then feign offense when I return same.

You'd be better off just letting the page sink. You have no clue how stupid and arrogant you are.

[h=1]Iraq crisis: US strikes 'help Kurdish bid to retake dam'[/h]

Kurdish forces supported by US air strikes are reportedly battling to retake Mosul dam from Islamic State (IS) fighters in northern Iraq.
The operation to recapture the country's largest dam began early on Saturday with raids by F-18 fighters and drones, US media reports say.
Kurdish Peshmerga fighters have shelled militants' positions, and there is an unconfirmed report of a ground attack.
At least 11 IS fighters have been killed, sources in Mosul told BBC News.
The extreme Sunni group, which overran Mosul this summer, has been accused of a new massacre of non-Muslims.
At least 80 men from the Yazidi faith were killed, and scores of women and children abducted, in the village of Kawju (also spelt Kocho) on Friday.
Reports say the men were killed after refusing to convert to Islam. A US drone strike later destroyed two vehicles belonging to the militants.
In another development, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited Iraq, as Western states stepped up aid.
'Heaviest yet'Reports on Saturday morning said US aircraft had launched strikes on IS positions near the strategic dam in Mosul.

US military officials told NBC News the decision to try to retake the dam came after intelligence showed IS militants "were not yet at a point where they could blow up the installation".
A Kurdish commander, Major General Abdelrahman Korini, told AFP that the Peshmerga had captured the eastern side of the dam and were "still advancing".
A Kurdish news website, Rudaw, said the air strikes appeared to be the "heaviest US bombing of militant positions since the start of air strikes" against IS last week.
The dam, captured by IS on 7 August, is of huge strategic significance in terms of water and power resources.
Located on the River Tigris about 50km (30 miles) upstream from the city of Mosul, it controls the water and power supply to a large surrounding area in northern Iraq.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier meets Yazidi refugees in Irbil

_76984075_023524201-1.jpg
Marchers in Hannover, Germany, condemn violence against Iraqi minorities

Visiting Baghdad, Germany's foreign minister met the new Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, who took over from Nouri Maliki this week.
He said he hoped Mr Abadi would be able to represent all the different regions and religions in the country, as this was the only way to prevent disenchanted Iraqis from backing IS.
German military transport planes have already begun delivering aid through the Kurdish city of Irbil but Germany is legally prevented from arming countries involved in conflict.
Two Airbus flights carrying UK aid supplies arrived in Irbil on Saturday.
On a stop in the city, Mr Steinmeier met Yazidi refugees.
IS-led violence has driven an estimated 1.2 million Iraqis from their homes. Whole communities of Yazidis and Christians have been forced to flee in the north, along with Shia Iraqis, who IS do not regard as true Muslims.

Iraq crisis: US strikes 'help Kurdish bid to retake dam

When, not if that poorly constructed and unmaintained dam breaks millions of gallons of water will overflow Mosul and create an even bigger humanitarian crisis. That's with or without ISIS.

The EU just decided to arm the Peshmerga Kurds directly and circumvent Baghdad. Another supposed "violation of International Law."
Europe isn't fooled as to where ISIS is hitting next.

[h=1]Obama doesn't rule out more troops in Iraq[/h]
"You know, as commander-in-chief, I'm never going to say never," he said during an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation." "But what the commanders who presented the plan to me say is that we may actually see fewer troops over time because now we're seeing coalition members starting to partner with us on the training and assist effort.”
The Pentagon on Friday announced the addition of 1,500 troops to Iraq to serve in a non-combat role to help train Iraqi forces. The addition pushed the total number of U.S. troops in the country to 3,200.
