Obama, earlier today:

Everybody's watching what's going on in Beijing right now with the Olympics , Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are vastly the superior to us now, which means if you are a coporation deciding where to do business you're starting to think, "Beijing looks like a pretty good option."

I suppose so. Provided you don't mind de minimus pollution controls, employing people under Chinese labor conditions, and you don't mind construction standards in the countryside that allow the collapse of thousands of buildings including schools when the earthquake hits, killing tens of thousands.

Obama has said a lot of stupid things recently, but the idea that totalitarian eye-candy engineering proves Beijing is the better than America is near the top of the list.

What was effective about the celebrity ad (and what had more people go to the internet to view it) was the fact the main stream covered it. It was an incredibly brilliant way of going negative for him. Not sure if the follow ups have been perfectly executed but it gave his campaign a lot of life.

Doesn't the actual ad raise questions in your head if no one will air it? Or is it 100% fact and credible?

Anyways, of course you think it's great timing. You may think you're being objective but when your news sources all all right wing slanted, it's tough to be. I don't doubt that you try to be objective but when your sources are all right wing and scream obama is terrible, the tide is turning, and the election is over you have no choice but to believe. Not to mention the 8 ring circle jerk in this forum that consists of copy and paste jobs from any right wing media.

And it's hard to stay objective, I don't do a great job at it but at least I can see when McCain has done well and Obama has done poorly.

I admit I am not objective. Don't want to be. I live in Chicago, know the politics there all to well. Worse bunch of politicians in the country. I do not want a Chicago Politician as president. Fuck that. Obama's own campaign said him and Ayers were friends. He has ties to Rezko. But the left and MSM ignore this. They are so in the tank for this guy it's unreal. Yet people criticize FOX for being biased. And you criticize where I get my news from. Where do you want me to get it? I can't watch the MSM. Geraldine Ferraro was on Hannity last night, she even said FOX is the most fair and balanced. She said Clinton supporters even say FOX is the most fair and balanced.
