watching this shit on AMC now...made me go back and look at how classic 80's this soundtrack was

Are there better? Check out the track listing for a 1979 film called "over the edge" (matt dillon's first film I think).

I was a product during the Grunge Rock era. I think some of the finer soundtracks during that time were from the movies: Pump Up The Volume, The Crow and S.F.W. (So Fucking What)

the crow has always been overrated IMO (I mean, come one, "the cure"???). But Viper says pump up the volume's soundtrack was rad.

Speaking of the Forrest Gump track.

All along the Watchtower, written by Bob Dylan and performed by Jimi Hendrix is on that soundtrack (or at least in the movie). The scene where Forrest and his platoon are route marching along a dirt road in VietNam.

Great song that is for me an anthem from my Vietnam service..
