I hate to use the L word, but how can it not be a lock? The Jets are conceding that Pennington is most likely lost for the season. Vinny is 40 years old for Chris sake. Vinny does not fit into Herm's offensive schemes (West Coast offense requires TOUCH and MOBILITY, both of which Vinny sorely lacks). He is a statue. He was never very mobile to begin with. They are one good hit away from relying on rookie Brooke Bollinger for the season in the most rugged divison in the NFL. The Jets have NO CHANCE of reaching 9 wins in this division (they only play the Dolphins twice) much less a winning record. Pencil the Jets into the Ben Rothlesberger derby (the Miami Oh qb who may very likely be the first draft choice next year).
