The "prediction" was for a 2 day drop.

Or for "gains" that will be "small"

But definitely one of the two</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

An allowance that one could be wrong about a prediction (which I wasnt) of a 2 day drop is not a parallel prediction of a gain in any way shape or form.

In your quest to irritate me you have only succeeded in exhibiting your lack of comprension skills- since no one else seems to agree with your vapid point and find your argument without merit.

Keep trying though- it always makes for good theatre whenever you swing and miss...:nohead:

I'm thinking Obama trying to give the business world pointers ain't selling very well, can't imagine why.

Maybe he should stick to his strength, receding the ocean waters,

Maybe people are beginning to realize that pork filled earmark stimulus bill ain't anything about economic stimulus, and all about political earmarks.

like it matters

and this coming from the guy that has said repeatedly the POTUS doesn't control the economy

that said i agree with you for the most part

in general government and the POTUS can only make matters worse by trying to "save" the economy in downturns

so you mean I didn't really say anything wrong?

remember, I'm speaking for what other people might be thinking anyways, not me

I always said that politicians can fuck it up, they just don't make it grow

and consumer confidence is a very important economic variable, BO is doing his best to continue to destroy it every time he speaks.

yes and dubya fucked up the economy by slashing taxes while not cutting spending and waging wars

it may have been fun for a while but it ain't too fun right now

as for consumer confidence just goes with the times

we were on a 20+ year consumer binge funded on debt, low savings, and bubbling home prices and what not....

the party had to end at some point

people are starting to wake up and actually save and purchase things within their incomes

this is a good long term trend and necessary

but it has painful repercussions near term

you seem outta the dubya mold where post 9/11 he was like rah rah grab those CCs and run out to the malls and spend, spend, spend.....stay positive....hoooo rah....

at least obama is being somewhat honest with the people times are gonna be rough and its not gonna be fun.....

it was all unsustainable

and now we are in the flushing out process where we need to better balance supply/demand to meet that of a sustainable economy where americans save a portion of their income and spend within their means....like the post great depressionary era people (the baby boomers parents) did.....

many businesses and jobs and such will have to get flushed down the drain near term to meet this end....

nothing government can do to stop this "natural" process

i put it in quotations since the boom up wasn't natural and was artificially promoted by government, the fed, banks, lax credit standards, and J6P thinking the party would last forever.....etc....

-------------------------------------------------------------------- No need to outsource if you want to raise the limit and go $200 with me I would not be averse to that. I respect your foolhardiness in the face of certain doom.

Dont you even read what Tiz writes.?

Youre a Mod. Youd have to pay -right?

Not necessarily I quickly remind myself. In this matrix of reality we live in the Mod would probably welch on the poster.

Yet Barman is at heart a sadist- he enjoys inflicting punishment- thats why his posts are always short little barbs cloaked in humor- and he will gamble if asked to satisfy that need.

I think I can spare a little more risk here. Lets see if the pain is contagious.

Anybody who wanted to go for $200 I just got back my tax return from the IRS so let me know.

First come first serve.

Remind me to tell you about the money Ive won in my day. It would make that look like juice.

Obama has it right now, eh? Government has to spend, not the people.

Did anyone suggest people should over-extend themselves?

If facts don't work, make them up and "do the twist"

Wasnt there a couple of morons who got the Nobel Prize for inventing a Formula that allegedly proved the party could last foever?

I cant think of their names but around that time the bad guys were starting to leverage the weakest shit imaginable to the nth degree. They believed in that formula until it blew up in their faces. Like the Martingale System always does eventually.

The signs were always there and guys like Soros who didnt beieve in it survived.
