Nova beat Pitt by 10 and WVU lost to Pitt by 11 - thats a 21 pt difference.

ummm ... you can spin that a different way if you want:

Villanova beat Providence by 3 (recently)
West Virginia beat Providence by 27 (recently)
That is a WV win by 24

lol

Question:

If louisville had rolled over ND yesterday

Would people (touts) be on WV nearly as much?

I see the similarities in that a ranked road team is playing a non ranked opponent... but a couple of cappers on other sites are using this "Just like last night" line... Apples and Oranges I say.

P.S. I haven't and probably won't pull the trigger either way... just looking for more insight

ie, Ness, Burns

The answer is yes.
Why ... because this is not the only game that has ever looked like this on paper.

Why would a "hot team" who is ranked higher be a dog?
Vegas wins for a reason. This is why. Because so many people look at Villanova and say they are better because of their ranking and people bet on them. Look at Villanova on the road (like I posted earlier). They aren't great on the road recently. That is why people are betting West Virginia, not because of last nights Notre Dame/Louisville game.

Just my insight. Oh yea ... touts suck anyways. Only one worth even looking at is Indian Cowboy. The rest have their Game of the Year or Decade bs. At least he is honest about his record and has been around long enough with a solid record.

Thanks Jbragg

I have much respect for you and your capping

So do you think if WV is going to win, it will be a slow and low scoring affair (good 3 pt def), or do you think that they will light it up in front of a home crowd and National TV audience and put up over 70?

thanks Boise.
Not sure about the total tonight.

Good luck on whatever you play. I like West Virginia ... but only worth 1 unit for me. I wouldn't bet my house on WV, but I do think they hold a small advantage.

West Virginia at home just creamed Providence (which Villanova barely beat them)

Do you guys really cap games like this?? Rookies, it does not matter what one team did at any given time vs the same team. Unless you were at both games there is no way to understand what happened during the game. I suggest you never cap your games this way it is a losing, SQUARE method.

Easy winner for the first half as Butler almost outscored Villanova.

Good luck to WVU backers for the game as this is ND and Louisville all over again.

- I was just making a point ... and yes ... I watched both of those games from beginning to end and I saw every minute.

- Rookie? I have been doing this for about 15 years. I hope I hit amateur status soon.

- I was pointing out that Villanova's last 5 road games have sucked! Go back and look at my post.

- Anyways ... good luck tonight and thanks for the advice.
