GL Hansen!! Like the picks, but be careful with that MNF pick. There are HUGE trend plays in favor of KC in that game...check my thread out if you want! GL!

Hansen: I'm a big Giants fan and have watched every game they have played this year. Don't let their winning record fool you. They did it with smoke and mirrors. But my question is, How can you pick that pitiful excuse for a team to beat Atlanta?"

Atlanta will be in the Giant's backfield all afternoon and Manning will be sacked at least 5 times. Vick will run circles around their defensive line. I was going to bet Atlanta as one of my top plays, but in deference to your pick I will lay off the game.

sorry i didn't get back to you earlier -- week from hell with the const bus., then had a wedding this weekend.:icon_conf

anyhow, you are correct this team is pathetic, but there are some shining stars, and those players should pose match-up problems for the falcons today. namely, tiki barber -- coughlin will have barber carrying a VERY heavy load today, not letting manning expose himself to a lot of risk. and barber is very capable. i know the world thinks that kerney & co are going to have field day with this young qb and the giants porous off line, but i see it differently.

i think you will see a lot of underneath stuff to barber and shockey, and this will open things up down field. toomer and hilliard are wonderful wideouts and the close to the vest start to this game will open things up for them later in the game. defensively, they will have a rover on vick all day, forcing him to throw the ball down field, which imo will be troublesome.

Hansen: I hate to go against you buddy, but this is a bad Giant team. Any stats you have on the Giant's defense can be thrown out the window because their defensive backfield is completely different from the backfield that started the season. They are playing second and third stringers.

I saw Manning play a few games in preseason and he was bad. Remember even though his name is Manning, he is still an untested rookie QB starting his first game. Historically this is a good go against play, despite the successes other rookie QB's are having this year.

Put a spy on Vick and Atlanta will have open receivers all day long.

The only way the Giants can win this game is if Manning comes out in blue tights with a red cape and a big S on his chest. If I had to make a line on this game I would make it 8.

I never really publish my plays, but for this one I make it my GOY and will have to go against you. It's too good to stay off. Best.

I hope my posts convinced you to lighten up on your Giant's bet.

I wasn't conmpletely right on my analysis of the game. Manning actually played a good game and had a great second half. If some of his receivers would have caught passes in the 1st half instead of dropping passes that were made right to them, the Giants could have won this game. The Giant's O line actually played a pretty good game and gave Manning pretty good protection, but they couldn't overcome the 14 point lead Atlanta built up in the 1st half.

I'm on Houston with you tonight. Best.

unfortunately, i went as is on the game despite your sound advice:mad: i hate losing like that -- when i pretty much pegged the game with barber having a big day and vick looking horrible going downfield with his passes -- the giants couldn't seem to catch a break -- eli int on the atl 18 yd line, and that horrible roughing call on a third and 17, from atlanta's own end????? oh well, so it goes. i take some solace in the fact that you cashed!!!
