a major storm is predicted this weekend in the northeast.i would think that in especially the nfc game, philly would have a huge advantage playing in the snow...this si going to be a big storm, take the under now, before it goes any lower as the weekend aproaches...any thoughts?:icon_conf

Wow, you're right---looks like Pennsylvania gets hammered on Sunday......which should lead to unders. Slippery conditions should negate Vick's speed a bit too.....

After watching Oakland and Denver score 45 points in the 2nd half to blow the under in a snowstorm this year, I don't believe that snow and wind alone will quarantee an under.....sloppy field might.

I Agree That The Under Is The Way To Go And I Took Under 20 In The Philly Game For The First Half. And Under 18 In The Pitt Game For The First Half.

I Think The First Half Bet Is Better Than The Total For The Full Game. You Don't Have To Worry About Over Time And Both Teams Might Be Feeling Each Other Out And Playing Conservatively In The First Half .

Cute cloud.

That sounds like a good call on the 1st 1/2 unders.....you do tend to see more points in the second half, as teams behind have to take risks to catch up.

A big fallacy is that it's harder to pass but easier to run in the snow. The opposite is really true--it takes backs longer to get moving in the slop, so the front 7 can get a fix on them. But receivers can build up speed down the field, and when they cut--since they know where they're going--it tends to be more effective, as defenders are a step slower in their reactions.

Plusses for Philly & NE here..........

" Forecasters are calling for gametime temperatures of 20 degrees and a chance of snow showers for Sunday night's Patriots-Steelers AFC championship game. There is a chance of heavier snowfall earlier in the day, but it is expected to stop by kickoff.

The weather could be worse across the state in Philadelphia for the NFC championship game between the Falcons and Eagles in the afternoon. Snow is predicted this weekend, with anywhere from a minimal amount to a major storm. "
