It doesn't matter if your on WiFi or using LTE on your phone. The apps constantly hang or force you to re-log in. BetAmerica will log you in and immediately log you out. Or you get the the bouncing ball. It doesn't matter what device, desktop computer, iPad, iPhone. They offer a lot of good boosts. You'll get a message like line closed even though the prop was just posted. I thought maybe they took a lot of bets in a short space of time and didn't want more action. Nope. After logging again it takes the bet but not on my desktop. I could log in and log out and nothing will change. I have to place the bet using my phone. Another time you make a bet and it says checking location but it does this for several minutes. I don't live near the NJ and PA border either. Fox Bet, Sugarhouse, DraftKings it's all the same. I can be in center city Philadelphia and get location issues. Golden Nugget stop working all together on my iMac. There is an issue with OS Catalina but I don't use that. In Golden Nugget's case the geolocation software hangs up on installation. It was working fine before the geolocation software provider updated their software. It's sad because the online sports books are great for both states but the major headaches with location software destroy the experience. Maybe it's just the Apple OS and Android is trouble free but Apple is the most widely used computer and phone provider. I could buy a cheap desktop that uses Microsoft or IBM OS and and an Android phone but why should I have to lay out extra money to make bets. In order to prevent hackers from wagering out of state the geolocation software provider has bloated the code so much that it is buggy to the point bordering making it unusable in legal states. I can't imagine how brutal it is to make in game wagers if your trying to log in and place a bet and by the time your finally able to do it it has gone from first quarter to second quarter or the time-out is over.

Is this software paid for by the state?

Anything government run and rolled out is likely to have major issues.

Either because of corruption or incompetence government run programs virtually all suck.

No, but gaming companies have to prove to the state that the no bets can be made outside the gaming jurisdiction. The state tests the software to make sure it can't be hacked by out of state bettors. What the state doesn't care about is how buggy it is for bettors in PA and NJ. I haven't lived in Nevada for a long time but I'll bet the gaming software there works well. The difference is NJ and PA don't depend on gaming to fund the state. They are so worried about gaming regulations that if it provides hardship for the bettor, who cares. They like the income from the casinos but if suddenly there were all closed the states would survive. In Nevada it would be a disaster of epic proportions. I remember some of the insane regulations when Resorts first opened in Atlantic City.

The books in Indiana and Iowa that I've used make you download the GeoGuard app.
