Short weeks have always been kind to Tom Brady

Brady has compiled a 6-0 record as a starting quarterback on Thursday games since 2002, including a 2-0 mark against the Jets.

Bill Belichick. "Were able to move on to the Jets here quickly, and we need to do that. We have to really put our foot on the gas pedal and open it up full throttle and get into the Jets".

Father Time 27, Jets 17

3/16/14: Colts owner Jim Irsay is arrested for DUI and four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance

The hidden and unsavory habits of Jim Irsay were revealed in an ESPN the Magazine article discussing the Indianapolis Colts owner’s drug addiction and personal life. Most of the article talks about Irsay’s addiction to pain/prescription pills — something that came to light during the owner’s OWI arrest in March — but a lot of it also dealt with Irsay’s romantic relationships.
Jim Irsay married wife Megan in 1980 and divorced in January, though they were legally separated for a decade. Outside the marriage/separation, Irsay had a relationship with a woman named Kim Wundrum, who died in March of a drug overdose. Even though Jim and Kim had a relationship for around eight years and he bought Kim three properties, Irsay kept their relationship hidden.

San Diego (5-2) at Denver (5-1)

On Thursdays the Chargers are 7-6-1 while the Broncos are under water at 8-10

Manning will enter this matchup with a 9-2 record as a starter on Thursday :think2:

Broncos 31, Chargers 23

Bone-us Play

(3) Ole Miss (7-0) at (24) LSU (6-2)

While LSU has a great running game to attack the Ole Miss defense, its young, erratic quarterbacks will be in for a long night against Ole Miss.

Ole Miss 23, LSU 17

After the Chargers knotted Thursday night’s game at seven, Broncos kick returner Andre Caldwell appeared to fumble the ensuing kickoff at the Denver 26. The ruling on the field was indeed a fumble, with a recovery by Chargers tight end Ladarius Green.
All turnovers are subject to replay review. After referee Terry McAulay went under the hood, with real-time assistance from V.P. of officiating Dean Blandino, McAulay reverse the ruling on the field: “After review, the runner’s elbow was down and in complete control over the football.”
But that’s not what the video showed. The ball was being ripped out before the elbow hit.
The ruling on the field becomes even more important in this situation. Because the officials determined a fumble had happened, McAulay needed to see indisputable visual evidence that it hadn’t. If anything, the clear, indisputable visual evidence showed that it had.
In other words, the evidence was strong enough to overturn a ruling on the field that Caldwell hadn’t fumbled. Instead, the evidence erroneously was determined to be indisputable that the ball wasn’t coming out.
UPDATE 10:07 p.m. ET: NFL V.P. of officiating Dean Blandino has defended the decision on Twitter. “On the fumble that was reversed the forearm was down before ball came loose,” Blandino said. “Forearm down before elbow.” The movement of the ball before the forearm is down would seem to prevent a finding of indisputable visual evidence that the ruling of a fumble was incorrect. Former NFL referee Mike Carey has repeatedly said during the CBS broadcast that, in his view, the outcome of the replay review was incorrect

The NFL is up to its marketing ways again........

Both the Lions and Falcons have struggled running the football...........

Detroit will keep pace with Green Bay in the division with a close win over Atlanta and may even take over the top spot because the Packers play Brees and the Saints in the Big Easy Sunday night.

Lions 24, Falcons 20

Green Bay (5-2) at New Orleans (2-4)

The Saints simply can't win on the road........

It is a fast surface. Saints play faster at home

[h=1]End zone interception triggers rarely-used rule[/h] Posted by Mike Florio on October 27, 2014, 9:50 PM EDT
wilcox.jpg
Getty ImagesLate in the first quarter of Monday night’s game between Washington and Dallas, an unusual play happened in the Cowboys end zone.
Safety J.J. Wilcox intercepted a pass intended for Washington receiver Andre Roberts. Wilcox, untouched after he secured possession of the ball, sprung up at the back of the end zone. Promptly, receiver Pierre Garςon drilled Wilcox, forcing a fumble out of the back of the end zone.
The ruling on the field was a touchback. Replay review confirmed it.
Per a league source, the specific ruling was that Wilcox had intercepted the ball and fumbled. But because Washington provided, as the rule book dubs it, the “impetus” that put the ball in the end zone, possession by the Cowboys in their own end zone and a fumble by the Cowboys out of the end zone remained a touchback, with the Cowboys getting the ball on their own 20.
As the source explained it, the ruling would have applied even if Wilcox had run around inside the end zone, trying to get out but losing possession before exiting. If the ball had gone out of bounds in the end zone, the outcome would have been the same as if Wilcox had simply taken a knee.

It’s a strange rule. One team acquires possession of the ball in its own end zone, loses possession of the ball while in their own end zone, but suffers no consequence when the fumbled ball goes out of the end zone.

But that’s the rule, and that was the outcome of a play that kept Washington from extending its lead (at the time) from 3-0 to 5-0.

Simply.........

"And you realize the fans come to this game, and whatever else is going on in their life, they want to come be in this stadium to watch us win football games and bring them joy. So, encompassing all of that, man, to not be able to give that to ourselves, our teammates, our coaches, our fans, it just hurts. It just hurts man."
Much is expected from NFL players, but such an emotional news conference is not. While Bucs fans have to be disappointed, it's refreshing to see an athlete care so much, even when his team is 1-8

Josh, you forgot to mention winning is also important for Gamblers! :hammerit
