31-31-3 YTD. 3-4 last week. I need a really good week to get out of this rut.

NY Giants (-3)
Pennington is still rusty for the Jets and I think Herman Edwards has put him in there a little too early in an attempt to salvage the Jets season.

The Giants offense has moved the ball well, but they have shot themselves in the foot until last week.

The Jets are 31st in the league in Rush Defense (158 ypg allowed). If Tiki Barber can hand onto the ball like he did Last Week, he will have a huge day. Plus, the Giants also have Dorsey Levens back there.

Jacksonville (+7)
The dog is 10-2-3 ATS in this series.

Both teams have great run defenses and the running games could cancel each other out here. This means that it could be a battle of the passing games and I will take the Jags in that battle.

Dallas (-4')
The Skins are in turmoil. Spurrier's job could be coming into question. I think that is very premature, but the Skins are in trouble here.

Parcells is 13-2-2 ATS in divisional games. He is like his buddy Bob Knight in that regard (emphasize the conference games).

He is also 18-9-1 ATS after scoring 10 or less.

Houston (+7)
Even with Carr out, I like this play. I saw the Texans up close last week and was impressed with their running game.

I just don't trust Carolina laying this many on the road.

Pittsburgh (+5)
Do or die for the Steelers here. 3 of their next 4 are on the road.

In their L14 tries, Pittsburgh is 10-3-1 ATS as a road dog.

Meanwhile, Seattle is 5-11-1 ATS as a HF of 2' or more.

The Steelers can't afford to fall behind anymore in the division. Expect a much better effort out of Cowher's crew today.

Philadelphia (-4')
I have to keep fading the Falcons here. They are 0-4 SU and ATS this year.

They are replacing their entire secondary and the defense is ravaged by injuries right now.

When you have the owner apologizing for poor play, you know you are in trouble.

Atlanta is 2-11 ATS their L13 as a Home Dog and Philly is 9-3 ATS their L12 as a Road Fav.

San Francisco (+5')
I know Garcia is out and the Niners lost to the Cardinals LW and the Rams are one of the hottest teams in football and Faulk may play today, BUT I like the Niners here.

This just seems like a good play to go contrarian.

Minnesota (-4')
Minny has covered their L5 versus the Pack.

Favre is good for a couple of turnovers tonight and Culpepper only has 2 INTs on the season.

4-1-2 today. Still sticking with Minnesota though. win or lose still a decent day finally. It could have been even better, but oh well.
