One week is now in the books in this 2011 NFL season, and perhaps the most shocking result of the opening week was a normally dormant Buffalo Bills offense going into Kansas City and trouncing the Chiefs 41-7.

At the same time, the Detroit Lions lived up to their preseason hype, going into Tampa Bay and coming away with a 27-20 road win that was not as close as the final score, as the Buccaneers scored a late touchdown with a little over one minute left while down 27-13.

However, that combination or results sets up a nice contrarian angle that has stood up well over the past nine years, and this is just the first of a handful of NFL trends and angles for NFL Week 2.

Play on any team that lost its last game by more than 20 points at home (92-64-1, 59.0% ATS since 2002): Professional teams do not like to get embarrassed, especially at home, and they usually come back strong in their next game, especially if it is early in the year. The only qualifier this week is Kansas City +9 vs. Detroit.......
