Overall 54-33
Teasers 29-17
Action Points 5-0, + 47 action point units
Non action points 49-33/ + 13.71 units

Play # 1 Minn over 10 -108 1st qtr

These two teams can score and can't play D lately. Combined with injuries to both teams D. I think this could be a shootout until Seattle runs out of bullets.

Play # 2 Cowboys -1/2 - 114 1st qtr.

Here's hoping the Saints don't score for the first time in the first qtr this year.

Play # 3 Broncos - 1/2 -130 1st qtr

I expect Denver to wake up this week. Or should I say Plummer - I think Plummer needs to shave. He looks like a caveman. Plummer looks like Brett Farve lately-the sctitzo Farve that is.

I will post some teasers later.

Hello, MFG. I usually like to tease dogs in the 1st and 3rd quarters, and it's shown me a good profit with the notable exception of last week where I started off 0-10 in 1st and 3rd Q's until hitting the Jags in the 1st and 3rd. I started off with dog 1st and 3rd Q's at about 16-4 with a lot of those bets on the Chargers covering as dogs earlier in the season. Haven't really kept track for a month or so, but had more winners than losers except for last week. The Saints trend of not scoring in the 1st is something, though! Everyone seems to love the over in the Minny/Seattle game, so 10 in the 1st Q. you would hope to at least get the push. I think Denver bounces back this week at home as well, so the 1st Q. on them stands a good chance.

Normally, I'll play a dog in the 1st and 3rd Q's if #1. I like them as a play anyway. #2. The game figures to be low-scoring and they are dogs of less than 7 points. #3. The dog has a decent defense or the favorite doesn't have a particularly strong offense. I look for these matchups and hope to cash tickets where the dog only has to push the quarter to cover. As I stated in a thread early in the season, there are a couple of obvious benefits of betting dogs in the 1st and 3rd Q's where a push = a win. #1. The quarter starts (usually) with a team deep in their own territory. #2. There is no rush to score before the quarter expires, unlike the 2nd and 4th Q's, so the fav. could be driving for a score inside the 10 when the quarter expires and the dog makes a nice cover.

BOL this week!

How exactly do you "tease" quarters? Or did I read your post incorrectly

LOL, my bad! I didn't mean teasing quarters, just straight bets. Thanks for the fast proofreading!

Glad you got down on those three. I bet them all at Pinnacle for 1k each and they moved the line on each of them afterwards. I like Denver - 1 and dislike the Redskins play on your teaser-Philly has massacred teams so I wouldn't chance the teaser going against them. I would put the Pats on it and am uncertain for that 3rd spot. Maybe you put those two on two and put a third play that is different on them. Good luck my friend.

I like your strategy. I normally play home favs in certain situations in my first quarter plays. I've been doing more teasers this year to take the place of a lot of my first quarter bets. Who are you favorite teasers this week? Did you Post?

I'm still deciding on my teasers. Currently I'm leaning to the Cards being my favorite teaser. Emmit is Q and I'd like to have him in there.

MFG, yeah, I've got two threads this week- the first with the early plays (including teasers) I made last Monday before the lines moved, plus additional plays throughout the week, and the 2nd thread with my lines and totals for every game, plus a summation of all my plays. Check out my plays there, gl this week!

Hansen - Yes Dennis Green is a joke. They should of punched that last one in. It sucks when you come all the way back and send it to OT and then lose. On top of that, after the 2nd a goal play they call a timeout with 1:06 left in the game instead of atleast letting it run down before calling the timeout. They almost allowed SF time to do something in regulation because of his big dumb azz.

I screwed up by posting AZ on 4 teasers with my other top two on 2 teasers, almost lucked out though.

Recap : 4-5, - 1.58 units

YTD : 58-38 total
Teasers 31-21
Non AP 's 53-38, + 12.13 units
Action Points 5-0, + 47 action point units.
