I love the Jets in this spot. Titans have been playing down to the competition the last two weeks in Jacksonville and Atlanta. Jets are better than both of these teams. If Titans put out same effort, they will get blown out in this one. Titans are looking ahead to Indy next week and are due for loss. Jets surprise Titans in this one. Jets +1.5

Can get Jets +3 now at a lot of places, total at 42. I just can't see how they can stop the Titans running game.

This is a dangerous spot for the Titans. I think they will play real conservative and rely on their Defense to win this game.

I like the under.

I will be really surprised if Air-McNair starts this game. With the Colts on deck next week will they run the risk of him getting hurt worse than he is? I doubt it. Besides, backup QB Billy Volek looked very sharp in his last outing. You can be damn sure the Titans will be extra very focused if McNair does not get the call tonight. I expect this game to have a lot of pass plays even though it will be in the 20's tonight. Dropped balls = no chains moved, and both these teams like to throw the ball. This will be a strange game tonight regardless who starts at QB for Tennessee. Not once this Monday Night Football Season has a dog covered the spread. They either win outright or lose to the number posted. This night should be no different with the small number and all. That is why I personally am taking The Jets +140. A lot of value here with that. Even though all the stats point to a Tennessee Blowout on paper, I've seen this movie before.....besides, I'm not so sure we will see the real Tennesse team show up....I keep thinking about Atlanta having them down by 21 a couple of weeks ago...now, having a not 100% McNair and going on the road to play in cold temps while knowing the Colts are next week....????? Maybe might be just a little too much for Tennesse tonight, especially if they get down early again. Make no mistake about it, Herman Edwards won't let happen what happened in the ATL.

Hello Everyone,

Interesting interesting opening line on tonights game and even more interesting line movement. Line opened Tennessee -1 which seemed to me rather low in the first place (trap?) and low and behold something even stranger occurred, line has since moved to Tennessee -3 even with the unclear status of QB McNair. Now I know John Q Public has a love affair with the Titans( I too even have a future on the the Titans to win the AFC and the Super Bowl) but really now, without McNair they are a totally different team as well as on the road. So why the movement on them even with McNair's status up in the air. Also, there are several other factors to take into account. This is no longer a must game for Tennessee as Indianapolis lost at home this week and Tennessee has a date with Indianapolis at Tennessee next weekend( Could the Titans be peeking towards next week, vs divisional opponent with revenge on their minds from ass whooping Indy put on them in Indy). Also, one must now start considering the famous handicapping tool, the home dog in the NFL. November has seen the home dog come back to life in the NFL and the home dog barked loud last night vs Tampa. HOME DOGS in the NFL since November 1st are on a 17-3-3 ATS trend. Yes folks the mighty home dog is finally barking loud and clear and should not be avoided the rest of the season. Certainly a change from the first two months of the season but back to the norm in the nFL over history. So with all this in mind, first what I perceived as an opening fish line of Tenn -1, the line movement to Tenn -3, the status of the HOME DOG in the NFL, and last but not least Tenn possibly peeking to next Sunday's encounter with divisional rival Indianapolis I have only one way to go tonight

JETS +3!!!! JETS +3!!!!! JETS +3!!!!!

P.S. Although no one can deny Tennessee has a stellar defense vs the run as they are ranked #1 in the NFL however, as good as they are vs the run they seem equally as bad vs the pass as they are ranked #30 in the NFL. That's right folks, #30 in the NFL!!!! That does not bode well vs QB Pennington of the Jets tonight who has been hitting on all cylinders. The match-up of the Jets offense vs the Tennessee defense should be to our liking tonight...

Bernie Vegas- I couldn't agree with your analysis more. I am really surprised as well that people don't care whether or not McNair starts. The one thing that I fear is that the Jets come out and just try to run, even on 2nd and long. They have to pass to set up the run. Also, this is definately a look ahead game for the Titans, and, the Jets aren't going anywhere, so, this is a huge game for them. I think they will give 110% tonight, and, I think they are going to win straight up. That being said, I still like Tenny to go to the Super Bowl out of the AFC.

Weather report - I'm 25 miles from Giants Stadium. It's about 40 minutes from kickoff. Temp is 35 degrees outside my door, wind is light right now but forecasted to be 15-25 MPH. Wind traditiaonally causes lots of trouble in Giants Stadium. Temps could dip to the upper 20's. Chance of snow (non-sticking ) is 30%.

Fellas,

The Jets are a shit team. However, the Titans proved that you can't just show up and expect to win in the NFL...no matter who you play.

Mr LSU

The Jets are NOT a shit team with QB Pennington at the helm. All one needs to do is look at the Jets record and play with him at QB. Hell even the games the Jets lose are close with Pennington at QB. He does make a considerable difference.
