NFL Week 13 (December 5th)
Overall Record = 13-2-1
Best Bet Record = 10-1
Strong Plays 2-1-1
Regular Plays = 1-0
-------------------------------------------------------
Best Bet = Buffalo -3.5
The Bills are starting to pick up the pace and are
playing a well rounded game while trying to claw their
way back into the wild card race. Willis McGahee will
have a big game running up the middle on a worn down
Miami defense. After coming off a dominant road win in
Seattle last week, going into Miami should be a cake
walk.
Best Bet = New England -9
It's looking like Holcomb, who threw for 400+ yards
this past weekend will not play in this one. Thats a
huge loss for an already depleted Browns squad who lost
it's best linebacker in Andra Davis, and coach Davis
bailing after their shoot out with the Bengals. That
leaves rookie QB Luke McCown to fill the role, and it's
not gonna be pretty as New England is going to put alot
of pressure on him. The Patriots will pound it out on
offense and should have a sizeable lead by halftime.
Best Bet = Minnesota -7
Chicago will be going with a 4th option quarterback in
Chad Hutchinson. Don't look for any cinderella story
for him and the worst ranked offense in the league.
Minnesota wants their division more than any other team
in the league. After last season's fallout, they know
every game is just as big as the next.
Best Bet = Indianapolis -10
The Colts are in a zone as of late. The Titans are in
a funk. The only way for Tennessee to have a chance
will be for them to keep it close going into the
4th quarter. I just don't see this happening with
McNair being as banged up as he is, and Indi's offense
running like a high octane jet engine.
Strong Play = Steelers vs Jaguars OVER 35
Pittsburgh is to good of a team to not put points on
the board 3 weeks striaght. The Jags have a pretty
well rounded offense and should get in the endzone
2-3 times. Pittsburgh's defense has been getting
alot of minutes and at this point in the season it
usaully starts to take it's toll. Their offense needs
to get it done and move the ball. Coach Bill Cowher
knows this and I'm sure he's drilling this into their
heads of how important it is to take the load off the
defense.
Regular Play = Steelers -3
Pittsburgh's offense has been shakey the past 2 games
although they found ways to win both with defense.
Duce Staley and Plaxico Burress will most likely be
back after missing in action for those two games. The
game breaker in this one though will be Hines Ward.
He's been fairly quiet the past few weeks and I
believe he will take that as a challenge and let
Roethlisberger know to throw it his way. Also look for
Cowher to pull out some razzle-dazzle plays to catch
the Jacksonville defense off guard for some big gains.
Regular Play = Philly vs Green Bay OVER 47
After watching Green Bay light it up on Monday night,
it's hard not to go with the over on this one. Philly's
offense has been the most consistent all year long in
my opinion, and will continue to do so against the
Packers.
Regular Play = Philly -6
Green Bay's Defense is just to soft to keep the Eagles
out of the endzone. Terrel Owens will have a big game
after being kept out of the endzone last week. Favre
and friends have been playing good to get back into the
playoff picture, but will hit a wall in Philly this
Sunday.
