Hey Matt, what are you hearing?

What are your thoughts?

I'm a little concernced about Cincy's depth in the secondary with Burris still out having to go against three very potent receivers (ya, Burress has a shoulder injury, but he's still potent). Matt, what do you think of Weathersby?

This is obviously do or die for Pittsburgh.

Having said that, Cincy not having a let down last week, in an absolutley ideal situation to have a let down (off kc win, Pit & Balt on deck, west coast, up against great RB), to me, means as much as knocking KC off at home the week before.

Kelley Washington really looked good. With Houshman coming back too that WR corps could be insane. Plus the Dillon and Rudi combo. Oh my!

Hopefully Lewis can get the D to play more consistantly.

Anyways, I'll be on Pittsburgh, but only as a hedge against a Cincy to win the division bet I have. Go Cincy!

Burris being out does hurt, but Hawkins has stepped up and played the best 2 games of his career the last 2 weeks. The safeties have been all over the place as well, Beckett was a steal off waivers. Cincy might go to the no huddle this week also to put pressure on Pittsburghs pass defense. It is going to be a tough game for Cincy to go in and win, but right now the offense is so potent, 3 straight games over 200 yds rushing. Kitna might be due for a bad game though. Weathersby is going to be good, but not this year, the gunshot set him back a ton with all that lost blood, he is still trying to come back. Interesting about weathersby(who is from Oregon St, where Chad Johnson went one year) Mel Kiper interviewed Johnson before the draft 3 years ago, and asked CJ who the best corner he ever faced was. He said there wasnt a better corner in the nation than Weathersby, kind of strange. But weathersby still isn't ready unless something changed this week.

In first matchup, Bengals and Kitna exposed weak Steelers secondary. Bengals are definitely looking ahead to Ravens next week. Before last week in San Diego, Bengals had not won a road game all year. Steelers will definitely be playing with some momentum off of win and their season is in a do or die mode. I look for a lot of ball control with Bettis to keep Bengals offense off the field while Steelers will blitz and try to force Kitna into turnovers. On a lean, I like the Steelers -3.

Jgerson,
You seem to have a penchant in your posts for Teams looking ahead, well its not going to happen here. This game is more important than next Weeks as a win will kill off Pittsburgh,s Divional chances, leaving the Ravens as the only threat. However, if they lose they will not only have the Ravens to worry about but will have Pittsburgh one game behind holding a tie-breaker. A win here for Cincy and a home win against The Browns would give them a tie breaker over The Ravens even with a loss next Week.

"Without us beating them, we don't have to worry about any playoffs," Lewis said. "That's the most important thing. We just have to take care of the Pittsburgh Steelers

PS: Cincy won at Cleveland earlier this year.

Hey Winbet, I was just wondering what you're doing, if anything, to hedge your Cincy to win the division bet?

I'm in a similar position. Unfortunatley, I still think Cincy isn't getting the respect they deserve in the futures department. They lead the division, have alot of momentum going, are relatively healthy, but are priced at having only about a 35-40% chance of winning it. So for now I'm just putting small bets against them week-to-week. Just wondering what you're doing, maybe you have better ideas.

As much as I would like the Bengals to be looking ahead to Baltimore, they won't be. Cincy lost to the Steelers in Cincy with a ton of Steelers' fans in the house as usual. The Steelers are still the defending division champs but have looked more like chumps unfortunately I must admit. Objectively speaking, this looks like a good game to pass on. Good luck Matt, if you beat us I'll be rooting for you guys to win the division.

Gamblor,
As you said the odds are too tight to hedge at the moment, a win this Week will open it up. The only hedge available now is laying Cincy on the exchanges at about 5/2, which I am considering.
