Buffalo Bills quarterback Drew Bledsoe was feeling better Friday after suffering from what he believed was a mild concussion and should be ready for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.
Bledsoe participated in a full practice Friday afternoon after missing the workout Thursday and being sent home early Wednesday. He said he was still didn't have all of his senses but suffered from no major headaches.
"I never really had any headaches," Bledsoe said. "I just felt dizzy and nauseated. I felt OK today. I'm still a little fuzzy, but I'm going to play."
Bledsoe suffered the injury Sunday in the 17-14 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Bills coach Gregg Williams said he thought the quarterback was suffering from symptoms related to a flu bug. The Bills revealed he suffered a concussion when he didn't practice Thursday.
"Maybe I'm off just enough to make some better decisions," Bledsoe joked Friday.
Backup guard Ross Tucker likely will start in place of Mike Pucillo against the Giants. Pucillo suffered a toe injury against the Colts, has not practiced all week and was downgraded to doubtful Friday on the weekly injury report.
Tucker has appeared in 20 games over three years in the NFL. He started seven games last season for Dallas before signing with the Bills this season. He appeared in seven games with Buffalo this year but had limited snaps.
Running back Sammy Morris also did not practice Friday after suffering a bruised knee against the Colts. Williams said a decision would not be made until just before the kickoff on Sunday whether he would be available.
The Bills placed wide receiver Sam Aiken on the injured reserve, as expected. Aiken had surgery on his knee after he was injured in practice before the Indy game. They signed running back Ken Simonton to the 53-man roster. Simonton had been on the practice squad.
