Atlanta Falcons O 39

Since both the Falcons and Bucs have played 3 consecutive games below the posted total, I am taking full advantage of some serious line value. Atlanta is a staggering 13-4 OVER/ROAD SINCE 1992 following a CLOSE win of 3-or-LESS points!!! When we entered this season, all the talk regarding the Falcons had to do with the fact that QB Michael Vick was finally healthy. Actually, the Falcons are just "squeezing by" with victories week-after-week due to the strength of their defense, along with one of the league's best RUSHING attacks which keeps that Atlanta defense off the field. It is not so much that Vick has dazzled with passing stats in the brand new West Coast offense, it is his RUNNING ability that has led to sustained drives which has helped the Falcons win the critical Time/Possession battle every week. Tampa Bay has had problems defending the run ever since DT Booger Ferguson was lost for the remainder of the season with torn triceps. Last week the Bucs lost against a Carolina team that has already lost both of their top running backs. Still, the Panthers had a 100 yard rusher against that Bucs defense. Not only will Atlanta score a ton of points, head coach Jim Mora publicly talked about his teams' lack of intensity coming out of the lockeroom after halftime, as the Falcons have only ONE offensive touchdown in the third quarter this season. That means I am personally going to make an additional wager at MVP Sportsbook for Atlanta to win the THIRD QUARTER. I suggest you do the same. Tampa's offense has thrived under QB Brian Griese who threw for a seaosn high 347 yards last week. Griese's power rating has been consistantly been above 100 thanks to quick decision making and accuracy. The Bucs offense contiues to get HEALTHY as offensive Guard Matt O'Dwyer has finally been activated after sitting out since the preseason with a torn chest muscle. That is going to help the injury-riddled offensive line that will now open more holes for RB Michael Pittman to operate through. Pittman started the season on the injured list along with WR's Joe Jeravicious and Joey Galloway. All of those players are now healthy including Galloway who returns this week from ankle problems. His return will only add to the SPEED of Tampa's wide receivers. Of course, this contest will be played in WARM weather conditions in the state of Florida.

GOOD LUCK
