Very smart, best idea in a while...

The NFL is replacing the Pro Bowl with weeklong skills competitions and a flag football game, The Associated Press has learned.

The new event will replace the full-contact showcase started in 1951. It will be renamed "The Pro Bowl Games" and will feature AFC and NFC players showcasing their football and non-football skills in challenges over several days. The 2023 Games will be held in Las Vegas, and the flag football game at Allegiant Stadium is Feb. 5.

Good move. Recognize achievement without playing a game that's disgusting to watch

Have some fun still

Have a golf tournament, a long drive contest, 3-point shooting contest, and a home run derby. I'm sure it would attract record ratings.

Last time they had a flag football game, it involved rookies, was held at the Pro Bowl on the beach, and
a Patriots rookie RB blew his knee out and it was cancelled after that.

Robert Edwards was the RB

I think that was a 4x4 game being played on the beach and / or in sand. Just like we've all done scores if times

You can suffer an injury playing with your kids

Entertainment purposes only no gambling! Never was an all star game when top players would go and lay on beaches after opting out for whatever reason then go to the game as a spectator and talk about all of us..
