Enough CV, if the new normal is teams playing with no/minimal fans, what teams will this help and who will it hurt? Chargers it will obviously help, they have no fans. I'd think Chiefs it would hurt, but they're the best team in the league. Dome/roof teams it would probably hurt as there would be no crowd noise. Raiders it would help in LV.

Might help bad QB's/coaches with clock/game management as they're worse at dealing with situational football on the fly.

Could also be easier to make correct game theory decisions since you know you won't be booed out of the stadium if it doesn't work.

Have to agree Chargers prob benefit the most. Teams like Pats, Chiefs would struggle. Generally true dome teams are better with crowd but Cowgirls sometimes struggle in that mansion. Also the Hawks were better on road then home last yr

I think there will be fans but limited size in the end.

Pats should benefit (I'm generally bearish on Pats this year fwiw) from introducing some new off the wall wrinkle/variable that no one has experienced before. Should benefit the best mind in the game theoretically.

Also, I think Foxboro was going to experience a lull this year. Tough for fans/crowd to go crazy for Stidham and co. after having Tom Brady and a perennial superbowl contender for 2 decades. We've seen this before with other legends, just hard for fans to be as rabid after a run like that. Just ain't the same.

I don't thinks the games will be played without fans. It's going to be business as usual.

15k fans in those stadiums is basically gonna sound like a rural high school crowd.

So even if there are some fans, it might make it very easy to play.

Could also help overs as well

scoring could be higher, but we both know the books will account for that

Maybe I'll be able to buy season tickets this year, that would be cool, although I don't want nosebleeds

I think with no crowd noise it will help offensive heavy teams and hurt defensive heavy teams .

Crowd noise always hurts offense and does not really have any negative impact on defenses .

Defenses never have trouble getting a play in due to noise .
Its always the offense that that has trouble calling the plays in noise .

Offense is also less emotional then defense .

Defense gets pumped up with loud crowd noise .

And some others things might come into play that has never been a factor .

A coach or a player can stream that they open or someone on the sideline can tell the QB who to throw the ball to .

The building will be crickets so there are all kinds of possibilities

The network going to have to do something to mute all the swearing on the field. Obviously guys talk tons of shit during the game.

well since Micheal Jordan’s documentary drops an F bomb every 5 seconds I don’t see why they would have a problem with cursing on the field during MNF

Good thread.

Coaching and field leadership is gonna be more important than ever.

The fans goad teams on, both offense and defense. They get guys pumped.

Players are gonna have to reach deep into their souls to give their all on every play. The fans won't be there to demand it.

Madly competitive guys will succeed. Paycheck punchers will get run over.

Gonna be different for sure.

Well yea . I guess the FCC changed the rules .

There was a time when networks got fined for F Bombs on live tv when it was not even the networks fault .

Times have changed I guess.
Does not bother me too much .
I just missed the memo where all this was allowed on regular tv.

Pump crowd noise?
Maybe the stadium cranks up the music?

The weird thing is that home field advantage doesnt exist much in many stadiums.

There have been many games played where at least 1/3 of the fans in the stadium are rooting for the visitor
