Before the draft I got the Cowboys at 9-1 on Sportsbetting.com to win the division. Even though the odds have dropped to 7-1 after the draft, you still gotta love this prop. Eagles and Cowboys are the only two teams that have a shot at winning the NFC East and the Cowboys have a better defense. They should only be 4-1, they're too good of a team.
Eagles Defense is HIGHLY overrated. Their linebacking core is subpar and I'm not convinced that there secondary is as top notch as everyone says it is. Sheldon Brown as a #2? Cowboys on the other hand signed Ferguson and Henry, picked up Ware and Spears in the draft, made some other moves. I think Philly has an 8-8 or 9-7 year this year. Not good enough to win the division.
I'm betting the Giants to win that division. Don't remember the odds but they are high. A lot more than 9-1. I agree with you on Philadelphia. They will not be the team they were last year. I think the Giants will suprise people. They filled a lot of holes from last year and Manning started coming into his own at the end of last season. He will be good this year.
