After watching Tim Tebow lead the Denver Broncos to that memorable game-winning overtime “drive” against the defending AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, it will be interesting to see what is in store for this weekend’s NFL Divisional round games. Tebow and the Broncos weren’t even expected to keep it close against the powerful Steelers, and it will be interesting to see how they fare as even bigger price per head sports underdogs against the top-seeded New England Patriots this Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

The San Francisco 49ers won 13 of 16 regular season games this year to finish their season as NFC West division champions and the conference’s second seed, but according to the pay head bookies they are underdogs at home as they welcome the New Orleans Saints. That is because the Saints are playing at least as well as any other team in the NFL following their 45-28 win over the Detroit Lions in the opening round, their ninth straight victory dating back to early November. Drew Brees extended his record-setting season in to the win over the Lions with 466 passing yards and three touchdowns, and the 49ers will be in tough to keep pace with then New Orleans offense with Alex Smith under center.

Tebow showed the world that he could move the ball through the air when it counts the most against the league’s top-ranked pass defense, and will now get a chance to add to his totals against the league’s worst in the Patriots. The Broncos defense allowed 41 points in their first meeting against New England earlier this season, and in order to keep pace with them this time around they will need Tebow and the running game to be at their best. If that happens, the Broncos could cover the per head number even if they lose the game.

Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens (-7.5)

The Texans ended a three-game losing streak with a home win over Andy Dalton and the Bengals in the opening round, but will be in tough to carry over the momentum from that game when they face a Ravens’ team that has many similarities. Both teams have strong rushing attacks and defenses that rank among the best in the NFL, with the biggest difference being under center, with Baltimore’s veteran Joe Flacco matched up against Houston rookie TJ Yates. The Ravens should have a decisive edge at that position, but the truth is that Flacco hasn’t done enough yet for us to think he can make a big enough difference to cover such a big pay per head sportsbook spread.

New York Giants @ Green Bay Packers (-7.5)

Few expected the Giants would make such a big statement at home against the Falcons, but after holding the Atlanta offense to just two points, they will face a much tougher challenge against the defending Super Bowl champions. The Packers’ offense has the ability to flat out dominate at times, and with Aaron Rodgers and company taking aim at a repeat, they will push New York harder than any team they have faced this year. Green Bay put up 38 but needed a last-minute drive to slip past the Giants back in week 13, and while this game could also end up going to the Packers, it should be just as close.
