Today we take a look at the NFC North Division in our 2014 NFL Season predictions. This has been a division dominated by the Green Bay Packers over the last decade but things may be changing a bit. Last year, the division was very competitive as the Packers suffered through an injury to Aaron Rogers while the Bears made some steps forward and the Lions continued to build their offensive proficiency. Three games separated the division winning Packers and the last place finishing Vikings. We see a fairly tight race again, however, we have a surprise. We think the Lions win the NFC North this year. Of course the masses will think we are crazy if we say anything other than the Packers but as we all know, the NFL is anything but predictable. Detroit is still needing to do some things defensively but we see them gelling together offensively this year with Reggie Bush’s 2nd year with the team and further maturation of Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and others. Detroit will just outscore people this season in our opinion. This will be enough for them to get a head in this division. The Packers look to be a bit on the back side of their rise and could start to feel the miss of some important personnel. Chicago we feel will stay the same and need better quarterback play while the Vikings are still missing some key ingredients.
