Today we take a look at the NFC North Division in our 2014 NFL Season predictions. This has been a division dominated by the Green Bay Packers over the last decade but things may be changing a bit. Last year, the division was very competitive as the Packers suffered through an injury to Aaron Rogers while the Bears made some steps forward and the Lions continued to build their offensive proficiency. Three games separated the division winning Packers and the last place finishing Vikings. We see a fairly tight race again, however, we have a surprise. We think the Lions win the NFC North this year. Of course the masses will think we are crazy if we say anything other than the Packers but as we all know, the NFL is anything but predictable. Detroit is still needing to do some things defensively but we see them gelling together offensively this year with Reggie Bush’s 2nd year with the team and further maturation of Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and others. Detroit will just outscore people this season in our opinion. This will be enough for them to get a head in this division. The Packers look to be a bit on the back side of their rise and could start to feel the miss of some important personnel. Chicago we feel will stay the same and need better quarterback play while the Vikings are still missing some key ingredients.
Here’s how we see it

Quick look at the schedules and I only See 4or5 losses for Green Bay 5or6 losses for Chicago AND at least 7 losses for Detroit !!!

Your Predictions look a bit off!

The Packers are missing some key personnel, huh? Lost receiver James Jones to free agency, center Dietrich-Smith to free agency, safety M.D. Jennings to free agency and did not re-sign Johnny Jolly nor Ryan Pickett at nose tackles. Jones is easily replaced, the center spot is covered at this point and Jennings flat out can't play. Packers might not win the division but it won't be because they are missing key personnel at this point. They also will outscore people.

Looks like you've made some predictions yourself and from where I sit they look off. The beauty of it all is that we will soon find out. I've done well doing this for the last several years so I can confidently stand by what I put up. Thanks for your feed back though.

Green Bay will not finish only two games ahead of last place in the division. That is my prediction for this thread.
