Hello everyone I'm fairly new to wagering and capping. Looking forward to getting to know how to capp games better and learn from some of the veterans here. Here is a little about myself. I am 47 yrs young and a small business owner in NC. I wager from 1 to 10 units per play with each unit equilivant to 10.00 USD .

welcome to the Rx.com....

if you're fairly new to wagering...then you obviously don't know what your "long term win expectation" is...

i.e. you don't know if you're a 53% handicapper, or a 55% handicapper, etc. etc....or if you're even a long-term winner at all! if you're new to this, i'd highly doubt you're a winner yet (don't worry, NONE of us were at the beginning:)

that's why your 1-10 unit betting strategy is SUICIDE!!!

just bet the SAME amount on ALL your plays until you have at least a couple THOUSAND plays under your belt...

once you have a couple THOUSAND plays in the books, you'll know what your win pct. is (or you return on investment dollar, however you want to look at it/whatever you want to call it)

then once you know what your long-term win pct. is and how good of a capper you actually are....then, and ONLY then, would i recommend you varying the size of your bets...

BUT.........

even then, i would only recommend 2 different size bets....

for 90+% of your plays, just risk 1% of your starting bankroll (i.e. 1 unit)...

then, for those rare, very-strong plays you'll have (which will be WAY UNDER 10% of your overall number of plays)....you might want to consider 1.5% of your bankroll (1.5 units) or maybe 2% (2 units) if you have a long-term win pct. near the 60% range for those "very strong plays"

i hope this helps....

but trust me....you will be bankrupt in very little time if you stick with the 1-10 unit stuff....

i speak from experience...as do all of us in here.....

it's better to start off the RIGHT way (unlike most of us in here did) then start off the wrong way and have to learn from your mistakes the hard way....

Two peices of advice 1- shop lines! Over the long run, this can help offset some vig. 2. When the public is all over 1 side, odds are against them as line is inflated (don't listen to so called experts on TV, radio, etc. that all love 1 side) Welcome/GL- Your Rabbbi Hey, any Jews living down in dem hills?
