The Knicks begin their post-All-Star break with a date in DC after winning five of their last six including a 122-101 thumping of the Hawks in Atlanta. These teams have split the season series with the Knicks securing a 112-108 win in Washington while the Wizards avenged that defeat five days later with a 116-105 trouncing of the Knicks at MSG back on January 18th.
The oddsmakers have the wrong favorite in this one as the Wizards are just a pedestrian team at home with a 14-12 mark (11-15 ATS) while the Knicks do their best work on the road as evidenced by their 17-12 record, but an even more impressive 19-10 against the number.
Both squads have had plenty of time to prepare for this one and I’ll take the better team with the winning road record plus the 2 ½ point head start. Gimme the Knicks!
