Why the rush into Bahgdad? Bahgdad is a lot like Vegas, an Oasis and then hundreds of miles of desert. Wouldn't it be prudent to secure all the small towns and oil fields first and starve out Bahgdad? There is no where these rogue troops can go...as soon as they leave they are blown away...Then i would drop another million leaflets into baghdad showing the liberated and secured locations of the other towns with pictures of iraqis eating FOOD and Drinking with humanitarian supplies with the message...Leave Bahgdad for one of this locations...maybe those that can and do leave can give us intel on where saddams strongholds are within the city.....
I think we can wait out Baghdad and not rush into something...we can still continue the bombing campaign well elsewhere in the region there will be less opposition and we can control those towns and the oil fields can be fixed and used for the oil/food program regardless of baghdad...
