Djok not cover again. This time against Goffin. What is that? Only covered 2 of last 11 matches, I believe. And he was down double break before roaring to win the last 6 games of the 3rd set. That was when Djok finally appeared.
Of course, tennis is finnicky and prone to matchups, tourneys, surfaces and etc... so sometimes you can just throw shit out the window where you couldn't do that in basketball and etc
Wawa is not playing good tennis. And there is the oddity in this matchup where Wawa covers all the 5-set matches but gets blasted in the 3-setters. I think in the last six 3-set matches Djok has plastered a 12-0 sets on Wawa. And in the 5-setters Wawa has covered all of those.
Speaking of not covering, Wawa is 0-5 ATS in his last 5 matches... and I believe the over is 5-0 as well.
In the end it all comes down to levels. Djok going for his 33rd Masters semi and Wawa going for his 3rd Masters semi... something like that. Wawa plays like shit and he loses in his first round of Masters to Kyrgios.... Djok plays like shit and he loses in the final of a Masters. That's the difference.
Djok 8-1-2 (2 pushes) on -3 in their last 11 matches of 3-setters. Djok won all of those. The only loss was when they went 7-6, 7-6. There definitely won't be a 7-6, 7-6 in this match. Expecting either a push on this.... or an outright loss. Since Djok has only 4 losses in about 9 months... I think I"l roll with the Djoke.
