This thread shows that people should be betting big ML faves more often

NOT AT ALL,

and syracuse and App State have already proved that this year.

if this was a yearly contest rather than monthly, i woudnt change it all, but for a monthly contest there is too great a chance that a favorite whore can sneak out a winning month, but this would not work for them in a yearly contest at all, im sure of it.

contest seemed fine the way it was, a chance to really see lots of data and picks with money lines and see how we do monthly as a group and yearly, This final week the leaders and near leaders would now have to choose to sprinkle in one + money play to creep up a bit if if they desire. Plus those behind find the best massive dogs to take a shot on to catch would be really fun to let this go on all year and maybe tweak for next year if needed....hasty call on this rule change.

(and I lost a so called lock -150000 this week!)

also can you still play a +7000 play (ie a dog 0f 70-1?)... any limits on dog prices?

Try Good Q

where in Mn are you? So far I`ve hit 3 or 4 med to small dogs. This puts more juice in the contest, hell anyone can take a -8000 chalk all day. Of course there`s always a "Cuse" lurking.

trytrytry,

we will try this for a month, if it doesnt work I can tweak again for November.

i doubt many will take a dog above +900 and the way i figure it, if someone does and hits it, well props to them.

Contest rules are never perfect and there are always people on both sides of the fence in every issue.

Great change, I took Oklahoma -3000 on Saturday and that knocked me out of #1 and totally out of it for the month.
